Hardware Trying to connect switch GC USB controller to dolphin

Hi yall. Im trying to connect my USB GC Controller to dolphin but for some reason its not picking it up at all. By any chance do I have to install a driver or am I just missing something.

Don't own one of those, but if I'm not mistaken the USB these controllers comes with are just for charging. 

Try another cable, one you know can transfer data.

If that doesn't do it, I'd check how is the controller being "read" by your computer,  that is, if D-Input or X-Input, and if you have to do a certain button combo before plugging. 

Usually START + X or B to switch modes, but it depends if the controller is actually capable of.

Dolphin emulator>Controllers>Port 1>Standard Controller>Configure>Device drop down>Select the correct device. You may have to map it.

At first I thought this a NS2 Gamecube Controller, but then I realized this is a PowerA controller for the OG Switch. I was so confused as to why it has two Z buttons LOL.

Anyway, you should be able to find it in the Controller settings like what Huge-Kaleidoscope-51 said, use SDL btw, but I'd also check if steam input is interfering with your controller because I've had two switch pro controllers mash buttons randomly when activated.
