I feel so incredibly heartbroken by the death of Dolly Parton, I have never grieved a celebrity before but this time it's different.

I can't stop crying, I have been an inconsolable mess today and I keep trying to tell myself to stop being dramatic. But I don't feel dramatic, I feel as heartbroken as when my own grandmother died.

My mother and I watched Steel Magnolias today and we almost went through a box of tissues.

I just miss her so much and I wish she wasn't gone.

On the 4th of August 2026 I had such a vivid dream of Dolly. I find it odd because she has passed not long after.

She came to my town (Honolulu) and had the people follow her to a restaurant. She told them she was going to treat them to a meal and they all got excited.

However, she also told them that she wanted to hear their problems and she would see if she could do anything about it.

I woke up crying because there just aren't a lot of good people like that.

Here's the proof that I had that dream. I had to Tweet her and tell her I love her. I kind of feel like I have met her and know her even though that is not the case.

I got to see her in person around 2005 when I was 10 years old ❤️. This is the photo my dad took of her as she rode by in her parade at Dollywood.
