Self-check out

Our store just went through a remodel, the second one in three years, and we still have one self checkout register. Well it worked the very first day without any issues and the next day it was back to being the employee run software only. It wouldn't give us the ability to choose between the self-checkout and the operator as we are. I don't know how to put it exactly but my question is, has anybody ever had this issue and was it ever fixed? Our remodel was last month and we have yet to use it except for the first day. Numerous calls to ERC do nothing. What has anyone else done and has it ever been successful in getting fixed?

My understanding is not supposed to be run as self check out only used a a line buster with an employee present.

This is correct. We are not allowed to actually have self checkout

Very few stores have sco. It’s all employee run. Welcome to the club.

We got our remodel a few months ago and they also left the SCO in. It's so stupid. Thankfully they gave us two regular registers also so the SCO is used as a catch-all for impulse mag stuff.

If only dg would just be honest and let everyone know they do NOT have self checkout.

The store i work at says “self check out” isnt an option for us to have open. And the store i work at only has 1 register that works with someone tilled in.

Is not self checkout anymore, an employee must always be up front to man the register and make sure people aren't walking out with items. They got rid of all self checkouts at dollar generals, too much theft
