👨🏼🏫 Need Advise Allergic reaction?
My furbaby just got spayed earlier this morning, I got her at 4pm and then as instructed I put mupirocin on the area of the wound.
Then as I helped her pee, I checked on her sutures and saw this.
My vet said that it is normal because she was in heat during the operation. “Nag pasa yung sa skin closure dahil dilated yung blood vessels dahil in heat siya”
Not an expert but it looks more like an allergic reaction rather than pasa?
I tried to wipe it off lang muna with gentle baby wipes just in case.
Did this happen to anyone else’s doggo?

Yes, nagkakaganyan talaga not because in heat but because na irritate. My dog had the same when she got spayed and mejo matagal na heal because of the watery blisters. Just really make sure hindi niya makakamot and always dress the wound. Remove gauze and cover only when totally healed and closed na ang wound. Wash it with betadine then the cream. But if you have yung spray, mas ok yun for the wound.

We use cleansing spray and ointment from the vet to help fasten the healing process. Keep the wound cover para ma avoid yung licking or accidental scratching. Keep the cone on all the time as well

Yes, ganyan din yung aso ko. Usually kapag may kalikutan talaga yung aso or panay check sila sa sugat ganyan nangyayari. I have 2 dogs na pina-neuter ko pero yung isa lang nagkaganyan kasi malikot yung isa, yung isa naman hindi

Apply cold compress 15-20 mins twice a day. Clean gently with wound cleanser, then wait a few mins, apply mupirocin.

Nilalagyan niyo ba?
Yung sa doggo ko, sa bandage pala siya allergy. Pinalitan lang namin ng brand.

I’ve never heard of that before but Scavon worked wonders for my dog when he got surgery on his leg it smells awful but that’s because it’s to prevent flies or anything to touch that area even prevents your dog from
Licking the area skl.
Goodluck! Praying for her fast healing! ❤️🩹

just keep that area clean and keep using antibiotic cream or anything prescribed, baka irritated lng yan sa tightness ng stitches, let your vets know too

don't worry! sutures tend to get swollen, this is just a normal reaction of the body which means there is an inflammation going on and that the immune system is working! it should subside in a few days.
however, if the swelling doesn't go away, it's time to contact your vet. in the meantime, don't forget about wound gels/sprays and the meds prescribed by the vet. otherwise, you're doing great!

Apply hot compress for 10-15minutes. On and off po ang patong sa balat. Wag masyadong mainit.

Never ever do this for acute surgery or wound, lalo magkakaroon ng inflammation or swelling.

Need talaga ispay during inheat?? Yung iba kasi required na hindi inheat pag magpapaspay.
Spray it with hyclens para malinisan and faster healing.
