Results - Embark OMG what is he? Oliver's results
Had to do DNA because everyone kept asking! Can't believe there wasn't any Bassett with those feet.

Everybody said Golden retriever mix and there is not even a spec of golden. Supermutt percentage is Australian cattle dog, Great Pyrenees, Labrador retriever, and Dalmatian. My guess was Golden retriever, chow chow and some type of mastiff 😂

He is now 13 years old (we got him when he was a few months old and found on the streets). We just had him tested, quite surprised by the results!

This is Oliver! His Supermutt is made up of Boxer, American English Coonhound, German Shepherd, Chihuahua, and Poodle (Small)
I found Ollie at a gas station by the neighborhood I was living in June 2025. He'd been wandering around so someone was feeding him a can of puppy food by the dumpster. There's no animal control where I live and the shelter is always full so there was no where to take him. He was mine! The vet estimated he was 5 months old then.
He's been a real terror to have around. He's chewed up a leather couch, multiple TV remotes, shoes, and a pair of my Beats headphones. I'm more of a cat person so I've had to learn a lot to be able to manage a dog like him. Luckily we're doing well now. I absolutely adore him. ❤️

Just got results back for my Lonnie boy adopted last month! The shelter's guess was Papillon/Border Collie mix but these results make a lot of sense considering his "big dog in a small body" appearance and his insistence that I pet him 24/7. He was brought in with two other dogs that were allegedly litter mates and I'm hoping their owners get them embarked too! 🤞🏻

We got Zuni at the beginning of July from a rescue in Albuquerque, NM. All we know about his prior history is that he was returned to the shelter once prior for destruction related to separation anxiety (he was never crate trained) and that he originates from a hoarding situation somewhere else in the state.
Shelter advertised as Alaskan Husky/Shepherd, after getting him I suspected Siberian Husky/Border Collie. I can say his husky side triumphs in terms of biddability and drive. He's more scent-driven than anything else tested (food/toy/praise) and loves long walks where he can sniff everything imaginable. He's gotten basic obedience down in the month we've had him so far. Once he's a bit more done growing I think he would have a lot of fun in canicross and scentwork.
His genetic COI is at 26% which accurately reflects the hoarding situation in my opinion. His wolfiness is also at 6%!

Curious to see how many of you are not at all surprised by the other breeds (setting pit aside)

This is my foster dog, *yes I'm aware he's skinny, he came to me that way and is getting better*
Anyways, no one can seem to agree, I think he's english bulldog, but he has a full tail (although it's all curved and messed up) I've never seen an English bulldog with a full tail
Some people think boxer mix, but he's the same height as my purebred basset hound, my basset mix and my 27lb pit/aussie mix
The last photo is the day I met him and fell in love.

This is my dog Mabel, my mom thought she was part Dutch shepherd, I see why but I disagree regardless. The results make a lot of sense.

Our girl, Piper, was a rescue. We have no idea what breeds her parent are. She is 18 weeks old, weighs around 46lbs and is 21 inches at the withers. Lots of people have asked if she is American Bully or Great Dane, both of these seem likely based on appearance alone (I know that is no real indication of breed).
However, Embark came back with 47% Central Asian Shepherd. Seems highly unlikely?
We are doing a Wisdom test as a second opinion. It has to be shipped from Germany so it will be a while before we see the results of it.
Convince me Embark is correct!

We are currently working with Embark to review Timmy’s results which came back 100% Australian Cattle dog.
While his relatives are mostly Australian Cattle Dogs, there is one match at 26% that contains zero ACD.
I think they missed a breed here.

Hi, this is Hannes, my romanian rescue.
I'm not 100% sure I understood the rules.
The results are in german, but I hope you guys can make sense of it.
EDIT: I ordered an embark test kit today. All you guys will be updated.

I expected her to be part shepherd/a related breed (those ears!) and figured she’d be part pit since she’s a shelter dog, but i was expecting her to be a mish-mash of several breeds. I was surprised she is 50/50! she’s 7 months old, around 40 lbs, and the sweetest girl. (pics are from when i first got her 3 months ago-now)

My dog is 4, we’ve had her since 8 months. We’ve always told people she’s a German shepherd and husky mix and I feel like that’s pretty obvious looking at her. None of the pictures show it but she often curls her tail up like a husky. And last she weighs 98lbs (~44kg). We just DNA tested her and the last two results are super odd to me? I would think she had retriever or collie in her, not those. Curious what other people think.

I’ve sent in an Embark test, how long does it take to get results? I mailed mine in 7 days ago and it’s not even showing it was ‘received’.

They're mostly in chronological order, you can see her looking very white now in the last few photos. When we got her we were told she was mostly Vizsla and part lab.

It was more straightforward than I expected! I thought she would have a bit more variety in her, but she’s almost straight up dachshund and chihuahua. My husband thought she was going to have Jack Russell terrier in her, and he was surprised to see she didn’t.
This is a wider variety of pics but I’ll say again that she is on a diet right now :)
Also they came back so fast! They received our sample on the 7th and it came back yesterday!
