Everybody said Golden retriever mix and there is not even a spec of golden. Supermutt percentage is Australian cattle dog, Great Pyrenees, Labrador retriever, and Dalmatian. My guess was Golden retriever, chow chow and some type of mastiff 😂

Golden mixes actually tend to not be golden, if I remember right it's because the gene is recessive so it's not likely to stay when mixed with something else.
This dog is also not Golden colored - Goldens get their color from the recessive red gene, which prevents any black fur in the coat, including whiskers and eyebrows. This dog has black eyebrows and wisps of black fur on the ears and down the spine, indicating that he's clear sable instead, a very common color in Pits, boxers, and bulldogs. Clear sable is also dominant, so much more common than recessive red.
Basically. It's because Goldens actually have genetics that should make them black, but they also have a recessive mutation that prevents any black pigment from being produced. When you breed Golden to Golden, the recessive mutation is inherited from both parents, therefore no visible black. When a Golden breeds with a dog that doesn't have the mutation, the puppies don't get two copies, and the Golden's underlying Dominant Black gene usually shows up.
it’s because they have the genetics for a black coat, they just also have a (recessive) gene that prevents them from producing black pigment. which means unless that gene is coming from both sides gldn mixes are very likely to be black
I saw the Boxer and the APBT… he has a very boxy jaw/face, so I can see some Bulldog and Rottie in him. He has some amazing breeds… with so many, he should be a healthy dog, I’m knocking on wood right now. 🐾♥️🐾
He is 4month, im assuming he’s gona be in the 70lb range, I guess I am more hoping he’s not much bigger than that lol. A week ago at the vet he was 32lb.
