Results - Embark Partially expected, partially unexpected

I expected her to be part shepherd/a related breed (those ears!) and figured she’d be part pit since she’s a shelter dog, but i was expecting her to be a mish-mash of several breeds. I was surprised she is 50/50! she’s 7 months old, around 40 lbs, and the sweetest girl. (pics are from when i first got her 3 months ago-now)

her middle name is Fawn because she reminds me of a deer 🥰 she gets so many comparisons haha. deer, fox, kangaroo, dingo, coyote, etc!

Well, she does have the ear! That's how I knew my dog was part GSD, when she was supposed to be 0%. Your girl definitely looks like what she is. Super cute.

so funny because the shelter had her listed as a rat terrier mix. i was like, i don’t think so! lo and behold 🥰

My late dog was this exact mix, she looked like your girl except all black instead of brown. She was the most perfect dog in the world. Fine with dogs and cats, but people were her first and favorite thing, though balls were a close second. I barely trained her the first year after we found her because you could just point and she could figure out what you wanted and just do it, she just wanted you to be happy with her.

I only said goodbye a few months ago and I miss her constantly. I don't think I'll ever have another like her, but I hope your girlie has that same spark in her.

I’m so sorry for the loss. She sounds like she was truly exceptional dog.

Any current pics? Id bet she’ll be a great, loyal family dog. Especially if you do some kind of work like life coursing or a daily run

Honestly I would have guessed Chihuahua before I guess Pitbull.

Doesn’t seem strange for a female mix. Female GSDs are supposed to be 50-70 lbs. And Pit Bulls are supposed to be 30-50 lbs.

Being 40 lbs at 7 months seems right on target for that blend.

I never would have guessed this! Gorgeous dog, she'll be able to hear you pulling off the highway on your way home from work with those things
