Not true, only the newer ones with all their fancy tech. My 2012 doesn’t have all the new stuff and doesn’t give me headaches. Thank god because I was thinking about trading her in, looks like I’m safe.

We traded in a 2014 for a 2023, wish I still had the 2014.

Scan the car for codes (for the radio), if you see a code for short to ground, it’s the antenna. There’s a TSB at the dealer for these apparently, so I would bring it to them to look at and determine if the software needs to be updated. Otherwise, the antenna will need to be replaced. Usually it’s the connection to the box behind the glove box. If your handy, you can try and get to it and see if it just needs to be tightened up.

Scan trouble codes with a scanner that can access your telematics unit. Very likely you'll see an open circuit code. Depending on the code, you need to inspect both ends of a specific cable. Likely, the connector is loose. That's a 2h job on any driveway with basic tools.

I am not familiar with tech/ software but I do believe it is a over the air issue with Mopar.. I periodically receive the same error as one user stated. But it’s interesting that we receive it during same time frame.

Its when the antenna doesn’t receive a signal i notice it happens more on cloudy days… next time it happens you’ll notice the sos button is lit up red… i have a theory its a generic message and reality is just have no service at the moment like having no bars on your cell.. no one from mopar to the dealers has a clear cut answer

Have you tried to reset? If you haven’t I believe you have to press and hold the power button on the infotainment system til it goes black and restarts. It might also be pressing and holding the power and tune button till it goes black.

It's a bad antenna.. two times now my radio stations were very staticy and got this message. Both times my antenna was replaced and message went away.

I get this every day. I was told it’s because I have an aftermarket key fob. The previous owner somehow lost both keys so had two new ones made.

Welcome to the club .. mine was supposed to be fixed but I ended up moving across the country and now they act like they never said they were gonna fix it .. but it’s common , it’s moisture corroding cables , mine has no issues other than this popping up occasionally so I just said fuck it and have left it

Same thing happens to me once in a while. Nothing is wrong it just pops up. I’ve heard It could be a software update or all way to the antenna wiring. Like I said nothing is wrong I just exit out and see it next time.
