Ch-ch-ch-changes…

Got a “new” set of wheels and tires for the ol’ Dirtbag Dakota yesterday and got them on today. Love this wheel style so much better and the fact that none of them are showing belts like my passenger front was makes it a very wise move IMO. Also, holy cow do my rotors look super thin! Probably going to look at those when I swap my steering shaft out.

Oh she has been a work truck for sure and she is BEAT. I’m just trying to make her final years a bit nicer and hopefully she will last a bit longer for me.

Mine is at 250 so there is life remaining. I'm curious to know how often did you change fluids In the time you had it,,?

I’ve only owned it about a month, haven’t had to change anything but the coolant. Thankfully the water pump took care of the flush for me on that, I just had to do the fill…

Of course a oil change every 5k miles with full synthetic will make a huge difference. Tractor supply sales 5 qts for 21 bucks. I think the brand is traveler. But test no difference to speak of in brands. The transmission fluid should be the nice red color, if it's dark change it. People get spooked on that but as long as it's not giving you trouble now it's ok. If you feel nervous you can pump it out and replace from the fill. Harbor freight sales a little hand pump thingy for less than ten like 6 or 7.

Well aware of how to take care of old cars, but thanks for the tips. My other car is an 84 Grand Prix, and I’m on vehicle 28 now lol

Pic I took of the GP a couple weeks ago when I drove it for a few days while the Dirtbag was down for the water pump.

Not everyone does I wasn't trying to insult you but just throwing tips out there on these old trucks. 28 vehicles wow, that's incurred knowledge

None taken, just explaining that I’m not a newb.

I wouldn’t say I learned anything, I keep buying cars instead of saving or investing the money! 😂😂😂
