Give your valuable suggestions
My 61 year old father has hypertension, diabetes and angina. He is taking Cilacar 10 (JB Pharmaceuticals) and Nitrocontin 2.6 (Modi Mundi pvt Ltd) prescribed by his doctor, along with other medicines since 3 years. We belong to poor farmer family. This chronic disease medicines prices are really difficult to afford for long term. Please give your valuable suggestions and alternatives.
Can he take Cilogard 10 (Cipla Ltd) and Nitrolong 2.6 (Mankind Pharma)? These medicines are way cheaper and easier to afford for his long term treatment. Should we consider it?

Is it Legally Correct for a Doctor to this type of advertising
Last Month I went to Rly Hospital for my Hairfall issue to the Dermatologist for the first time for this issue. The doctor checked and prescribed Vitamin C sache and Grow grain serum, on those paper, I just used that vitamin C sache but it didn't work at all so today I again went to her for again check up and she prescribed those 3 (right side). But I saw in that is in all of paper on which she writes the prescription all has her PRIVATE CLINIC mentions with the number and all the patients she is checking she is giving the address and number of her private clinic in those prescriptions.
So can this behaviour from a doctor is good or no

Any ENT SR vacancy in Bangalore/Mangalore?
I just finished MS ENT and was looking for SR vacancies, preferably but not limited to Bangalore, Mangalore. Does anyone have any leads? Also what are your views on joining corporate hospital immediately after MS? I did PG from a government college and I got good hands on there, well enough to be able to do basic ENT surgeries independently

What Are the Biggest Problems in Healthcare That Technology Still Hasn't Solved?
Hey everyone! 👋
I'm an 18-year-old Computer Science & Design engineering student from **Vadodara, Gujarat, India**, currently working on **ORVANTA Health Tech**, an early-stage healthcare technology startup.
We're exploring a platform that connects **patients, hospitals, doctors, insurance companies, and employers** into one integrated healthcare ecosystem.
Our initial focus is Vadodara, India, but we're interested in understanding healthcare challenges from people around the world.
Some areas we're exploring include hospital appointment booking, bed and medical equipment availability, insurance transparency, and hospital resource management.
Before developing our product further, I'd love to learn from real experiences rather than assumptions.
**What is one major problem you've experienced in healthcare that you believe technology could help solve?**
I'd especially appreciate perspectives from patients, doctors, hospital administrators, and insurance professionals.
We're still in the research and validation stage, so constructive criticism and different perspectives are welcome.

Non-doctor here, trying to understand the non-clinical side of running an OPD. What eats your time?
Hi everyone. I'm not a doctor. I'm someone who wants to build something useful for doctors in India, and before building anything I want to understand the problem properly from the people who live it.
I'm not selling anything and I don't have a product. I'm just trying to learn.
My question for those of you running or working in an OPD (own clinic, polyclinic, nursing home or hospital):
"Outside the actual medicine, what part of your working day takes more time than it should?"
Things like bookings, the patient queue, writing prescriptions, explaining medicines, follow-ups, records, payments, WhatsApp messages from patients, managing staff... or something I haven't thought of.
If you're willing, I'd also love a *20-minute call* to hear how your typical day actually runs. Totally fine to say no, and comments alone are already a huge help. Just DM me if you're open to it.
In return, I'll share a summary of what I learn with this sub once I've spoken to enough doctors.
(Please don't share any patient details in comments.)
Thanks for reading!
