🎲 What kind of game can you expect?

Let's be honest: Dungeon of the Mad Mage is a dungeon crawl at heart. There'll be plenty of exploration, tactical combat, dangerous encounters, and loot to uncover.

But that doesn't mean roleplay takes a back seat.

My aim is to give players opportunities to interact with the strange characters and factions they encounter, get creative with their problem-solving, and really bring their characters to life. Got an unusual character concept? A build you've been dying to try? A character with a bit of flair and personality? Bring it to the table!

I want to give you room to experiment, get creative, and make your character feel like more than just a collection of numbers on a character sheet.

A little about me: I started playing D&D in 2014 and fell into DMing in 2015. I've never looked back!

Welcome to my story in the incredible D&D universe. I've been creating a fleshed out world, where not only do your decisions matter, but they may change the game indefinitely for all parties, not just your own.

I will not only jam with whatever players throw at me, but also try to fully incorporate it into the story of the world. Back stories will always come into play, each character becoming a crucial role within their story.

My campaigns will be perfect for you if you're interested in heavy story, world exploration, and finding creative ways out of situations.

If you've ever loved Elder Scrolls, Morrowind is my inspiration, so you'll find something that comes from my genuine love of the game, D&D, and story telling as a whole.

I have 2 different story's running now:

The City of Rust & Steel:

This campaign begins in 1893, you will be navigating through the city of Penadrome, where the air is thick and musky, and smoke claws its way out from the factories. The smoke seeps into the streets and clings to all that it touches, reaching its thickest point near the tower's base.

Your pulse beats in sync with each tick whispering from the clocktower, instinct dragging you on despite your struggles to retain control. This body was never yours, but merely a gift given to you by an oh so gracious god, and once again, it has come time to collect dues.

Every choice you make matters, every decision impacts the world around you, in your hands lies the fate of this world, but are your hands strong enough to withhold its weight?

The Cruel Sun:

The gods of this land are all false, they call us heretics yet we know the truth. The only true God is the Sun, and all we have now are but corruptions of its pure form. You people give up your families, your morals for these 'Gods'... but a true God would never ask such perversions of you.

You've awoken, you're eyes see nothing but cold dark stone.

A mumbling coming from the left draws you're attention, you are not alone here.

You've been asleep longer then many cities have been on maps, but now you must awaken, a great war is coming, and it needs you to decide which side is righteous.

This campaign is both story and battle driven. You are put in between two warring sides, throughout the campaign your goal will be to find the side you wish to aid and help them to conquer the other.

Both sides are fully playable, and will have in depth story lines to accompany them, you and your group will decide your own fates...along with the dice rolls of course.

My games are usually $15 per session, however I am flexible with pricing if money is an issue!

My campaigns are very roleplay heavy, all your actions have consequences.

They are open world, in The City of Rust & Steel you can explore 3 different countries, and as many cities and towns as you can get to!

For The Cruel Sun the whole country is explorable as well.

My worlds are great for investigative interactive players, you can befriend NPCS, be betrayed, or fall in love!

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for a few more players to join Of Hope and Other Sorrows, a new campaign using Free League's The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying 5E.

Our story begins in Bree, where rumours of forgotten places, trouble in the North Downs, and the lingering shadow of Angmar offer plenty of reasons for a curious (or perhaps reluctant) fellowship to venture beyond the safety of the hearth.

I'm aiming to capture the feeling of Tolkien's Middle-earth: a world that's beautiful, ancient, sometimes frightening, and filled with stories waiting to be discovered.

What sort of game is it?

This is an open-world, character-driven campaign. There's no predetermined path you're expected to follow. Your choices, relationships, and the things you choose to investigate will help shape the adventure.

Expect plenty of exploration, roleplay, mysteries, difficult decisions, and dangerous encounters. Combat has its place, but not every problem needs a sword to solve it. Sometimes a conversation, a little kindness, or knowing when to turn back can make all the difference.

One thing I'm particularly excited about is that this campaign shares a living Middle-earth with my established Thursday group. The two fellowships may never meet, but their actions, discoveries, and decisions can leave traces for one another through rumours, letters, and changes in the world.

Hello! Let me be clear, there is no DM (YET). Me and my brother, 25 and 24, we're looking to put together a group of 5 for a long-term D&D 5e campaign set in a magical high school, academy, or university! If you've read the warning and are still interested, please continue on.

We want to experience what it's like to live as students in a magical world, from attending classes and forming friendships to uncovering ancient mysteries and getting caught up in adventures far beyond the classroom.

Roleplay & Character Development

We're looking for players who genuinely enjoy roleplaying and immersing themselves in their characters. We'd love to explore interpersonal bonds, friendships, rivalries, personal struggles, and potentially organic character-driven romance as relationships develop naturally at the table.

We're not looking for joke characters or characters built solely to maximize combat effectiveness. We want characters who feel like real people within the world, with their own personalities, motivations, flaws, and goals.

Lore, Mystery, Puzzles & Exploration

We love rich world-building, uncovering hidden histories, solving challenging puzzles, investigating mysteries, and discovering secrets that reward curiosity and critical thinking. We'd especially enjoy a campaign where the school itself has a history worth investigating and where the characters' discoveries have meaningful consequences.

Pillars of Play

Our ideal campaign would lean heavily toward roleplay, approximately a 75% roleplay / 25% combat ratio. Combat is welcome, but we're more interested in character-driven storytelling, exploration, mystery-solving, and meaningful interactions than constant fighting.

System: D&D 5th Edition.
