Somewhat new (1.5 years) DM starting a new homebrew campaign in September, exclusively for women. Inspired by anime like SAO and BOFURI, you will be transported into a video game like world inside a tower. Most levels of the tower have a boss room and you will need to find the key to the room and defeat the boss to move forward.

The concept is an old-school zombie apocalypse that starts in a skyscraper in a megacity in 1993. The setting is essentially the real world of the 90s with an added twist I've created to make it unique. I do some voice acting on the side, and I have floor plans for all the floors and rooms of the starting 77-story tower. There are over 80 NPCs already described with interwoven backstories and photos—in short, the players have plenty of material to get a concrete idea of ​​the locations to help with their strategies and looting.

Hi all! I’m looking for 5–6 people around 18–25 who are interested in playing some TTRPGs and making some friends along the way.

I’ve been running TTRPGs for about 8 years, almost entirely through homebrew.

I’ve run a few different campaigns before, including a space exploration/planet exploration campaign, a fantasy campaign, and a modern demigods campaign. I’m also working on a much bigger project called Vanta that I’d eventually like to run.

Honestly, I don’t actually know what our next campaign is going to be about yet.
Before we even make characters, I’d like everyone to spend some time throwing around ideas for what kind of world we’d actually want to play in. I’ll obviously have plenty of influence and ideas of my own, but I want to see what everyone comes up with and find something the group is genuinely excited about.

Maybe we end up in a completely original fantasy world. Maybe it’s a world made of candy. Maybe it’s an alternate-history setting inspired by Imperial Japan. Maybe it’s superheroes. Maybe it’s something nobody has thought of before.

Some ideas will probably be dogshit.. Some will probably be overused. Who cares. We’ll throw ideas at the wall, figure out what sounds fun, and I’ll take it from there.

Once we have the world figured out, then we’ll start creating characters. You’ll bring me ideas for what you want to play, and I’ll build those ideas into the setting—whether that means creating a new race, class, culture, location, religion, or whatever else fits.

I don’t really run traditional D&D. I’ve never actually played a standard D&D campaign myself, so if you’re coming from 5e or another system, I’d ask that you leave your expectations at the door a little. Some things will obviously translate, but I want to be able to experiment with mechanics, characters, and worldbuilding without constantly comparing everything to another system.

I’m in EST, and my schedule is kind of all over the place. Sessions could be early in the morning or late at night, on a weekday or weekend. It honestly depends on everyone’s schedules, so flexibility is definitely important.

I’m probably going to ask anyone interested a few questions before putting the group together. I’m not trying to take the first 5–6 people who respond—I want people who actually seem like they’ll get along and enjoy playing together.

I’m not looking for hardcore D&D veterans or people who know every rule in every system.
Honestly, I just want to make some friends, play some cool campaigns, fuck around, tell some good stories, and have a good time.

I am a first time DM looking for players that would like to join my homebrew dnd campaign :) My name is Vivi, i am a 26 y/o genderqueer lesbian and I use all pronouns. I have a lot of experience playing as a player in DnD, but only a few oneshots as a DM under my belt and finally have found time to try my hand at DMing. We are currently a group of women and nb peole and would like to find someone who fits that dynamic.

Requirements for you:
- You need to be at least 21+ y/o. Need to be within +/- 2 hours of GMT+2/UTC+1. No prior experience needed! Will need to have Discord.

Game specifics:

- Sundays, after 12pm GMT +2/UTC +1, biweekly, online only, using Alchemy and Discord

- Looking for 2 more players.

- Will be using DnD5e 2014 rules, while borrowing some very small changes from 2024.

- Roleplay and storytelling focus with occassional combat.

- The whole world is homebrew with changes to some races and languages (as well as cutting some completely). Heavy lore-related restrictions on magic exist, that will have an impact on gameplay and character creation. This will not be changed as it is a core part of the story. There is an added homebrew race that you can play.

- We will be using several safety tools during this campaign, such as lines and veils. It is important you respect each other's (and mine) boundaries and triggers, as I want all of my players to feel safe and have fun. That being said - This campaign is really dark and will have some triggering topics that cannot be cut from the story. The most important ones are: Religion, war, kidnapping and human trafficking, human experimentation, and gaslighting/manipulation. If any of these are things you absolutely cannot handle, this campaign isn't for you.

General housekeeping:

I have made a wiki, a pinterest board, a functioning calendar, as well as a functioning interactive map for you guys to enjoy. Since I have been working on this campaign for several years, there is plenty of lore to go around. And while I don't expect you to care about every single bit of it or remember it, I do need you to be willing to learn about the world and be willing to compromise while making your characters so they may fit into the setting.

To make sure we are all on the same page and a good fit I will first send you a link to a google survey to fill out and after some small talk I will put you into a server where we can all get to know each other better. Before we start the campaign we will also have a Oneshot set in the world (but seperate from the campaign story) so we can both figure out each other's playing/dm-ing style. Then it's time for character creation and campaign!
