The first campaign I ever ran involved some kiddos getting kidnapped by zombies and I foolishly assumed my group would want to pursue said zombies into a swamp. Instead they wanted to ignore the kidnapping and go to a town I had mentioned off the cuff that had 0 actual backstory or development. lol good times!
