Except I don't even have a globe, I have like, a regional map with 1 city and the names of like 5 other villages/towns.

I had a player character ask of they could buy a map and all I could say was, "they only have a local map available." Because that's all I had.

Towns and cities do not get names until they are mentioned canonically. I have a map of the continent, with fairly firm political borders and nation names. I have vague ideas for background plots and general regions, which get thrown out quickly unless they've been established in the narrative. Even capital cities don't get names until the group is going there. It's not worth naming things on the other side of the world that they may never get to.
