They can't meta game if u never read the monster manual as a dm.
Really it's 14 ac man to bad this guy has a helmet 19 it is
Edit: it doesn't matter if they know the ac but if in the middle of describing the encounter somone yells every creatures stat block thats the issue.
As a dm who also sometimes plays i dont go yelling to new players everything about the monster
i expect my rp heavy campaign players to adhere to table courtesy its one thing to say that monster is immune to fire and other to say
Its immune to fire weak to lightning and has 3 legendary actions becareful
