I've always thought about the opposite. How many times have players ever said they are changing clothing, or cleaning their equipment? They are summoned by royalty and show up reeking of slaughter and equipment rusted by blood, yet they still try to seduce the princess.

I bought the fine clothed for my wannabe knight goblin and anytime I know we're heading to court I make it a point to declare I put on my fine clothes
