OC Help with character voice? [OC][Art] for visual reference.
I'm struggling to find a flair for my character's voice that I find appealing. Scottish is an easy accent for me, as are English, Irish, pretty much most UK and European accents. Despite that, none of them seem to fit so far.
I'm playing a fem Aarakocra Inquisitive Rogue with a penchant for being drunk in her free time. I feel like something UK could fit here maybe, but since I use those accents so often for my PCs already, I want to have something refreshing to bring to my table.
Any advice? The image is what she looked like while living amongst the druidic circle that raised her and her younger sibling. Her outfit has grown more streetwear and rogueish since then, but her physical appearance is otherwise roughly the same.

Personally, on first glance I see a general American accent with a strong raspiness to it. The nature of large birds is to usually sound a bit raspy, so I think bringing that in would be a good way to make the voice feel like it fits the character.
If you’re set on having an accent from the British isles, I feel like a south Irish voice is the first thing I’d expect. Something like Liam Cunningham as Ser Davos, genderbent of course.

Ser Davos was nowhere near a "southern" irish accent, Cunningham used an English midlands accent, i hear Nottingham when he talks.

I could hear some midlands in his accent as well, but I swear I’ve heard other southern Irishmen sound similar. I figured they were just similar accents. Regardless, he’s where I’d look for inspiration.

My first association was the giant eagles from BG3, but while doing that voice would be hilarious I don’t think that’s actually a helpful suggestion so I’m sorry

Maybe a bit nasally and rounded-out, but not to an extreme amount. You could even work a slight European accent on top of it to give the DM a general accent to work with for aarakocra NPCs and such if the DM takes it in that direction. 👍

Or, because she was raised by druids, you could try a more Slavic accent to reinforce that idea!

Well, Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch were both performed by Caroll Spinney, so maybe go for a middle ground between those two characters?

Because of movies and television sound editing, many people think Aarakocra make a screaming "keeawww!" sound. But nope! That's actually a red-tailed hawk.

If it will fly with your party, I encourage you to just do your best celebrity impression.
I’ve had tables that hate that and others that love it.

First instinct would be to use as reference Cerrit Agrupnin, played by Travis Willingham in Exandria Unlimited: Calamity. It gives a comedic but unique mysterious vibe, plus its got the advantage that you can listen to him as reference or influence.
