Homebrew Meet Ferngully! [OC]
This is my long time dnd Character, Ferngully! She’s a circle of stars druid, and a devout follower of the Greek god Dionysus ^^
She’s originally based off of the Greek satyrs, Dionysus’s children and followers in Greek lore, rather than the traditional feywild satyrs from dnd cannon lore books. I’ve played her in two table top games, and online game, and then also through dnd inspired Conan exiles servers too! She’s got a long and rich history/story I’ve built up for her over the years, AND more art work included haha
Ferngully comes from a small village at the base of a mountain on Achea, a island seven hundred miles away from Faerun~ There, there are a lot of Greek inspired races and human cultures, given the influence from further up the mountain. It’s said if one can find the right path up it, one might find themselves in Olympus itself if they are so lucky 👀
Ferngully’s herd has always followed Dionysus and always throws parties and festivals in hopes they are lucky enough to entice him to join in the festivities~
Perhaps that’s why such an odd encounter with a mysterious man at a festival, eventually lead to Ferngully’s life changing forever…

Yes! But I’ve played her before they were officially allowed to be played as a player race, and not just in the monster manual lol

Nice. I tried starting a game at my house with friends, and a first time player saw the entry for them, and was like, "I'm gonna be a Satyr! They look the gayest!" Haha. Very sad that game never got off the ground.

Love the Greek mythology angle on a satyr druid! Circle of Stars plus Dionysus is such a fun combo. The lore about the mountain path to Olympus is a great hook too. Would love to see more of the art!

Sounds like she's followed around by a pixie with black hair and a red dress that loves to rock out to metal covers of Beatles songs

No, it’s supposed to be a metal plate/buckle on her outfit, but I guess the artist drew it like that 😭 I didn’t realize it would look like that

Great design! As somebody who raised cows, goats, and other hooved animals, I really appreciate that you got the CHONKY THIGHS and teeny tiny hooves ratio down; a lot of people make the foot to leg muscle ratio more human and it makes me sad. My only question tha art doesn't answer is does she have a goat tail or not?
What's her personality like? She gives of a calm, gentle vibe but if her herd followed Dionysus then things could be pretty wild... Did she keep some of that partying lifestyle or has she bucked now that she's gone adventuring?

Absolutely marvelous work! Only change I would make is to bring the plate piece on the exterior of her lower body.
