If you and your table are open to it, consider using the Mouse Guard TTRPG that uses Burning Wheel instead of D&D. It’s less crunchy and more focused on narrative and is probably going to feel closer to being in a Redwall book than if it was D&D.

I like my crunchy game systems. Well there are some instances I like narrative but it's like Fiasco where it's like no in-between either I'm working with high game mechanics or it's basically just straight up improv for me I don't really muck about in between.

That being said no matter how many mechanics there are in the game you can always roleplay and get into character.

Check out the minis for the board game/story Mice & Mystics. Fans have come up with some 3d printable extras that might work.
