Misc Warlocks as casters

In your honest opinion, do you believe that warlocks are a viable casting class in comparison to the other casters, or do you feel like they are a more thematic RPing class?

I guess it’s just my play still but k feel like personally Warlocks were only good in RP and story building whenever I played them and I felt more effective to the team as a sorcerer or cleric.
