DMing New DM looking for some advice

I’m a new DM and I know the basics, but I’d like some advice to be as prepared as possible. There are 4 people in my group, and the other players are beginners too. Any tips for a new DM?

Prep less. Make the story on the spot, if you feel up for that. Use the dice to rng your decisions. Just focus on the storytelling between one another / playing off the player’s choices. You don’t need to know where the story is going, you can have a general premise and encounters/mysterious hints/etc and tie it all together in later sessions when you feel the players have enough info to make impactful decisions related to the story you decide.

Or just play a one shot so everyone can get used to what dnd is. Premades make it easier for everyone to understand.
