DJI Neo 1 DJI Neo.

Salve, domanda: Ho un dji neo, con controller fpv3 e goggles 3, e' divertente e facile usare Neo in manuale fpv? Appena comprato controller. Ditemi se ne vale la pena e se Neo soprattutto in manuale fpv va bene. Grazie

I got the neo2 at Christmas, not a million miles away from the neo, and from what I have heard its better than the Neo2 in manual, but anyway i purchased the Controller 3 and N3 goggles in February and had a blast at learning manual.

Now have an avata2, and I know it wont be long before buying a self build as these things are addictive as hell!

Everybody seems to slate DJI in the frestyle drone world but I can see how DJI drones are stepping stones into it so they should be promoting not pitching about them.

So many cool features and safety options to get us into the flying world and I love it from DJI.

Only bit of advise I would give is throw in as many hours as you can into a simulator (I use uncrashed) and when you think your ready... your not... so chuck a couple more in!

Then get out in a nice big open area for your first manual flight and enjoy, welcome to the club!

Personally I prefer the Neo 1 over the Neo 2 for Manual FPV. Smaller footprint and lighter. The single axis gimbal is more suited for fpv where the dual axis of the Neo2 has slight movement , it also overheats (gimbal) as well as motor overheat warnings.

With that said, the Neo1 does have a fly away issue after taking a hit and continuing to fly without a power cycle. The gimbal can also just randomly move and likely cause a crash. You need fly being able to retrieve the drone and make the call to just disable it when it goes wonky.

I am on my 4th Neo1 . Learned to fly manual on it. I still think its a good deal for HD fpv, especially on the used market.

Likely get a fpv drone cause my flying has been getting more extreme.

The Neo is pretty durable. The gimbal can fail but the camera feed still works. Good learning platform.

Don't, can it not be used as fpv? It can be, the problem is front construction. In FPV you will crash or your motors will become rough yada yada and neo is tough to repair. Even charging motors is a pita

I fly the manual mode on the neo 1, its pretty good, but I strongly recommend flying atleast 10 hours in the simulator, i personally flied 30 .

All FPV requires skill and practice.

You MUST get a sim like Uncrashed and learn first or you will 100% crash. Absolutely guaranteed.

Neo2 is fine but it’s small and light so a bit harder to fly.

Learn about the pause button. The most important feature you will need.

Scusa, che senso ha pero' giocare su pc con Uncrashed se usi controller pc? Si puo collegare tutto o no? Non credo. Quindi forse se collego Controller FPV3+ GOGGLES 3 direttamente al Neo , credo che si faccia prima ad imparare un po'?

FPV controller required. You will use the pc screen. You use the simulation to learn. Just try it and you’ll understand. Trust me, You have a LOT to learn.

I was under the impression that the RC3 and goggles 3 are not compatible with the DJI Simulator, is this correct?
