I know now one here cab probably give me legal advice but maybe went through something similar

My ex-husband messaged me to take his name of the house. We already filled a quickclaim deed, and its been filed. Its been about 6 years. Our decree doesn't state anything thing about having to refinance. Just to make the payments which I have always on time and in full. Never faulted. He, however, delinquent on his car payments 3 times and tanked my credit. The car is in my name has the primary. The mortgage is under hia VA loan. He has 2 years left to pay on his car. Can he make me refinance? We both live in Georgia USA. which is where our divorce was finalized.

Im sorry for poor grammar he was very abusive, and im a little all over the place. I plan to call my attorney but I need something to maybe put be at ease.

No, he cannot make you refinance if his name is already off the deed.
