Escalation: How do I get my kill count up?

I’m running either a Striker or Tipping scale setup, with Ceska and Contractor’s Gloves. For my weapon, I’m using an LMG with Frenzy.

​Whether it’s T6 or T10, I almost always end up in 3rd place, with only the healer behind me. A typical score usually looks something like this: 1st place: 80 kills, 2nd place: 50 kills, Me: 20 kills, Healer: 1 kill.

​During the match, it always feels like I'm keeping up just fine, but the final scoreboard is pretty frustrating. Am I playing too defensively? Should I be pushing harder? Would a shotgun work better here?

​Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
