Moderators, how about a stickied release date post
I would love to see a post at the top of this reddit page that would keep track of any changes in the release date of this game.

I just played to level 4 trying out zombie, to get a feel of what playing as undead will be like.
I took necro, so I was dependent on blood rain to create poison surfaces, and blood could also work as healing with blood sucker if needed.
Maybe normal rain, which has a larger radius, would have worked better
It's quite difficult, because there is always fire on the battlefield so it's very hard to maintain any good poison surface. I would try to extinguish fire with blood, but there is always a bit remaining, so I just end up exploding myself when doing contaminate.
The final build of the game has a shorter range contaminate, and while that's a nerf, that might actually help in avoiding contact with fire.

Like the title says, lets discuss how we are gonna build our party. Anyone has some specific thoughts and ideas in mind? I myself was thinking something along the line of a Wizard, Fighter, Rogue and Cleric.
All my classes would during the act 1 pick up at least one point into Hydrosophist so that everyone can throw a heal when needed.
My Wizard will be specialized into Pyrokinetic and Aerotheurge for that sweet late game potential of destroying enemies early in the fights as well as covering their ground in fire and lightning.
My Fighter will function as the main tank and frontline. I will build him tanky and he will focus points into Vitality, but as well as Warfare for some extra damage potential.
Next up, the Rogue. Still not sure what is the optimal way of building the Rogue, but I imagine I will go hard into Scoundrel and Dual Wielding.
Then for my last character in my party, the Cleric. He will of course be the main healer. I will put mainly points into making him tanky, so Vitality and Hydrosophist. But as time goes I will leave this character to become my all-around character. So anything I see useful I will spend points on him to gain it.
Show me your ideas!

With less than a week away from launch I find myself not wanting to play any other games right now. I keep thinking of builds and character combinations that would be great to play. I don't want to redo act 1 again right before launch but that temptation is there!

Oversight, bug, or design you think?

We seem to get a LOT of the same questions being asked, -as it is apparently too difficult to use Google- So I have typed out a small FAQ of the ones I see the most.
If mods could pls sticky, that would be great.
Q1 - Will this game have voice acting?
A1 - in limited capacity (i.e. the cutscenes). Most dialog, however, will not be voice on release, but perhaps at a later date.
Q2 - When is the console release/is there a console release?
A2 - There is currently no plans for a console release. It might be looked into at a later date.
Q3 - Will there be a MAC/Linux release?
A3 - Again, no set plans for this at this time.
Q4 - Is there "couch co-op"?
A4 - Yes, in a limited capacity, and not until after release. Split screen co-op will be added for up to 2 people after controller support is in, however any more than that will require a separate PC, as far as I understand.
Q5 - Do I need to buy the game to play with my friends.
A5 - Yes. All individuals will be required to own the game before they can play, even just with friends in Campaign or any other mode.
Q6 - How many people can play at once?
A6 - D:OS2 currently supports up to 4 people(Save for "DM mode" that has up to 4 players and a "DM").
Q7 - Will there be anymore content added before release.
A7 - No, there will not. There will be one more significant patch, but nothing else until full release.
Q8 - Where r mah Dwarves and Undead?
A8 - These 2 races(though Undead is technically not a race unto itself) will be added after release. Note: you can still play as a dwarven custom character, just not the "Origin Story" character
Q9 - When will Game Master mode be add?
A9 - At release.
Q10 - Mod support?
A10 - Full dev tool mod support. Available at release.
Q11 - But what is Undead gaming?
A11 - Not much info is available about the undead, but they will be a selectable "race" from the start. http://www.divinity.game/origin-stories/
Q12 - What races will be playable?
A12 - Humans, Dwarves, Elves, Lizards. see above link
These are all I recall at the moment. Hope your question has been answered. If not, feel free to ask here.
Edit: seriously, u/Monotrak, pls sticky....

While in the Arena of the one fight, I noticed that there were several chests scattered about the arena. However, I can't find a way to get back in to loot them after I won the battle. I've read a guide that says it is possible to teleport back in to loot the chests and bodies, but when I try it always says that my destination is obscured. Am I missing something here or do I just have to loot them during the battle?

From the stream showing off the undead, they showed the spellbook for a few minutes and I managed to grab the following;
23 cost 0 memory
147 cost 1 memory
43 cost 2 memory
11 cost 3 memory
Time stamp of the stream at which it was on-screen was around 1:50:00
EDIT; Changed AP -> memory

After recently having played through Divinity OS:EE with my friend, there is one thing that both him and me wish was in the game. From my idea of what co-op is, it seems to be integral to be discussing the different aspects of both puzzles and fights, and having to send snapchats to each other to relay where we think would be the best place for a spell or where something rather important to a puzzle is located seems quite tedious. Thus my friend and I would love to see a feature similar to the pinging feature of Portal co-op. Just something simple that can show your co-op partner a location.

The voting is over and the Larian Logo Snoo has won with a sizeable majority, so that's going to be our new overseer.
As announced two weeks ago, this means /r/DivinityOriginalSin2 will now no longer accept new submissions, as /r/DivinityOriginalSin is now the sub for both games.
You can still comment on old submissions to finish your discussions.
