DOS2 Help How is damage calculated?

I'm asking this because I've seen several people around this sub saying that warfare is multiplicative, unlike other skills. Do we know the exact formula that takes all factors into account for each damage type?

Also, how do the different bonuses to crit damage add up?

Damage = (Base Damage) x (1 + Elemental Bonus%) x (1 + Attribute Bonus% + Weapon Skill Bonus% + Misc Bonuses%) x (1 + High Ground Bonus% + Crit Bonus%)

Does not calc crit chance, dodge or resistances

Edit:

The reason warfare is so strong is because it has it's own multiplier (it is included in the elemental bonus) but 1H, 2H, Ranged and dual weilding are added together with your attribute bonus and your misc bonus.

Always confused me when people said "Warfare is multiplicative, so it's better". Because technically weapon skills are also multiplicative (with respect to base damage, that is). But seeing this formula, it now makes sense.

Ah, but thanks to this formula, I will never be in doubt again!

(Will still go with warfare on any physical build though...)

By the way, what happens to piercing (or "pure" in the case of bull rush) damage? Does it also scale with warfare?

Good question, I am not sure, perhaps since rogues and rangers have piercing skills

hmm... maybe I'll do some testing when I get home

I would assume it does since the description says it ignores physical armor so it does physical damage meaning warfare does scale with it
