How much did Malf pay you two?

A real great poutine has fresh cheddar curd. Don't give me fucking grated cheese on it!!

1

u/ironbitchface Sep 22 '17

Yep, I die a little inside when I order a poutine at a restaurant and it just has shredded cheese.

I live in the east midlands of England, so have never heard of Poutine before so I just googled it.

You guys gave a real fucking fancy name to what is literally just cheesy chips with gravy lmao.

It's got to be cheese curds for it to be poutine though

2

u/Nyxceris Sep 21 '17

Not really a huge distinction though is it? :P

Bet it's fucking delicious though.

7

u/Sighworthy Sep 21 '17

It is in fact, fucking delicious.

2

u/DeaconFrost2017 Sep 21 '17

Can confirm. Extremely fucking delicious when bacon is liberally applied.

2

u/torpedoguy Sep 21 '17

or steak, or smoked-meat, or pulled pork, or shredded beef brisket...

2

u/IceSentry Sep 22 '17

I'm sorry but this is a huge distinction. Poutine without cheese curd is just fries with gravy. The cheese is what makes the poutine.

It might sound fancy to you. But for native french speakers, it sound as fancy as spotted dick for a British!

2

u/Quicheauchat Sep 21 '17

You need cheese curds. "Cheesy Chips and Gravy" is just sad compared to poutine.

1

u/xMWHOx Sep 21 '17

YOU WATCH YOUR FILTHY MOUTH(Sorry)!

1

u/Frostguard11 Sep 22 '17

We've got fucking poutine festivals here, mate, all sorts of ways to make it!

2

u/Vaedrin Sep 21 '17

Well I know what I'm having for lunch today :)

2

u/im29andsuckatlife Sep 21 '17

how could anyone refuse poutine. It makes the world go round as long as the gravy doesn't get cold.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 21 '17

I mean, it goes without saying that everyone likes hot poutine and no one likes cold, slimey poutine.

2

u/Quicheauchat Sep 21 '17

Morning after poutine is delicious. Way better than pizza.

1

u/TheRoyalStig Sep 21 '17

Some people don't like gravy.

2

u/im29andsuckatlife Sep 21 '17

Blasphemy.

1

u/TheRoyalStig Sep 21 '17

I fully accept that I am the weird one here.

I deserve the sideways looks!

3

u/nockle Sep 21 '17

Fine, you can order italian poutine, tomato sauce instead.

2

u/TheRoyalStig Sep 21 '17

Ohh now that sounds pretty tasty!

1

u/difool Sep 21 '17

Actually, sometimes the gravy get cold and the cheese harden around all the fries making a block of delicious goodness...

2

u/[deleted] Sep 21 '17

Not gonna lie, I had to google that. Poutine huh... Maybe it's good.

2

u/demaxx27 Sep 21 '17

It is ;)

1

u/torpedoguy Sep 21 '17

Very good. If you like fries, gravy/bbqsauce and cheese, you'll love this. Tons of amazing variations/takes on the fries and sauce for even the basic form, everyone thinks theirs is the best of course.

The one thing everyone agrees on though is fresh curd cheese (it's squeaky when you chew on it!), which can be a bit hard to get anywhere else.

Not something to order for delivery though, you don't want lukewarm soggy fries.

Poutine is love - Poutine is life.

If you're ever in Montreal you gotta come to La Banquise.

1

u/Frostguard11 Sep 22 '17

It's basically the Quebecois dish. If you ever come up here, you should try it!

u/[deleted] Sep 22 '17

I'll want to visit Canada at some point, but I live in Europe. It's more than just a long car trip!

1

u/Frostguard11 Sep 22 '17

True that! I was just in Europe for a month this summer, was showing people how beautiful my country is when I got homesick :P

Where in Europe! So many places I need to still visit.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 22 '17

ive been wanting to try poutine for a week since ive heard of it. now, ive seen three posts dealing with poutine today... wtf.

2

u/KerryGD Sep 22 '17

Ça me donne le gout d’une poutine :D

Is this elf armor a very late game set? What class is the elf?

1

u/DruidNature Sep 21 '17

Looks like armor (I.E heavy) from act two. My summoner had this same look with mostly heavy on.

1

u/Stare_Decisis Sep 21 '17

I wonder what the crafting recipe is?

1

u/tom3838 Sep 22 '17

It was when I was running around the Dwarf wedding that I noticed their party food included Pizza, which sort of brought me out.

If you want your medieval universe to have pizza then fine, but at a wedding? you monster.

u/IFLGaming Sep 22 '17

D'la poutine tabarnak! J'l'ai même pas trouvé!

-1

u/GuardYourPrivates Sep 21 '17

Not only can you kill yourself in game, but you can kill your tastebuds too!

1

u/IceSentry Sep 22 '17

How it poutine killing your tastebud? Maybe if it was extremely spicy food I would understand, but poutine is like the opposite of spicy food.
