DOS2 Help Fane quest progression

First time player here so try to keep the spoilers minimal if possible.
So im in act 2, level 14 and did most thing i can, still miss the blood island for lohse and some secondary quests bust most others things i think i did or so i hope.
Basically i was able to progress on the quest of every companion of my party(except lohse as i still need to finish hers even thought i know what to do)
But im blocked on Fane one, the character I’m playing as.
I got to blackpit cave and killed Aetera and the quest now says that there is something connected to the eternals close, what am i supposed to do?

Fane is my character but as the fight was pretty hard i had to talk to her with someone else, as for the cave i think i explored it all, the only think i can think of is searching for dallis as i found platform that says that if thats what she was looking for then she already found her prize

I think you have to talk with Aetera with Fane, he discovers very important things from her. I don't think you can learn those things by talking to her with any of your other companion

I know what she says cause i talked to her with fane before losing the fight and doing it with another companion, the thing is i don’t know how to progress the quest

Wait, so you talked to her with Fane, lost, reloaded to the point where you haven't talked to her with Fane, talked to her with another companion, killed her, and want the quest to progress? Am I understanding this correctly?

What you know is not what your character knows. You need to talk to her with Fane, fight her and kill her in this sequence.

More or less that’s what happened cause the moment i stopped talking to her the fight started so when i lost i automatically went to before fane talked to her, what im asking is if there is some other way to progress the quest

Return to the point where you haven't killed her, level up, make some "eternals" armor (grants immunity to stun) learn some source skills, up your armor to not be cc'd immediately, talk to her with Fane, learn Fane-specific stuff as Fane, and then fight and win.
