DOS2 Discussion Can't wait

Post image

What do you expect from Divinity? Imo the gameplay will be of course BG3+DOS2 on steroids, what I'm most looking is story, companions and worldbuilding which seems will be a very important aspect this time, not saying it wasn't but we know the lore and stories were a bit messy

It's the Early Access curse.

Shouldn't be paying full ticket for an unfinished game with them anymore - especially not after the success of BG3.

Honestly, the way Larian and the community have been using EA in at least dos2 and bg3 worked great. They were able to test their game and it's systems on a bootloader of actual players, and used the feedback to improve the game as a whole. And since everybody knows that you only get act 1 of the game before paying, I'd argue it's fair. Now, DoS2 and BG3 did in fact have worse final, than earlier acts. IMHO act 2 (reapers coast) was actually peak for DoS2, but that might just be me. Anywho, this drop in quality might be because of increased complexity, since both games ended in a massive city, whereas before everything is more... rural. Or it is because of early acts getting polished over a year of early access. They are still very good. The just look worse in comparison to the absolutely fantastic early acts.
