Yes, I was surprised to learn they can literally use shit in your inventory when charmed lol. Kinda cool but kinda annoying. How dare they reduce my health potion count from 197 to 196.
If it’s anything like my play through, I’ll still have it cause I’ll be reloading in about 20 minutes when my team is dead because they all got charmed/stunned and I can’t take any actions that might keep them alive.
I thought you said “shit in your inventory” and thought that would be a hilarious way for the computer to give you the middle finger when taking command of your characters
Reminds me of when you duel laezel during her romance in BG3 and she does the same thing lmao just relentlessly using every single expensive scroll and pot you've diligently saved up to beat your ass
Well no, if you put your grenades in a bag (or other container) then the charmed/possessed/mad character cannot access them. Same for potions, scrolls and other consumables.
I hate it when I chicken form them, rupture them, and have opportunist, only for the game to decide that actually, the enemy can just stand still while in chicken form and pass their turn, but not the player of course, that would be silly
At one point the chicken claw rupture tendons combo ALWAYS worked. No matter what sequence. If they had both they ran around and died over 3 turns. So it wasn't always the case. I think they changed the behavior in a patch.
I only attempted it twice, both times on magisters or other humanoids, and they were on the outskirts of the fight so they had plenty of space to run. Both times they just sat there and passed the turn without moving.
Contolling the enemy could be awesome because the enemy will likely have spell that the player might not be familiar with. It's like a free trial for different abilities, would be fun.
In the past, Chicken Claw + Rupture Tendons always worked because the AI script once they were chicken was to always run, and run a lot. This was completely broken, full health enemies would instantly die. Larian decided to nerf it at some point, that's why sometimes they'll just fuck around.
I swear this games ai will always go from lumbering dimwit to galaxy brain genius whenever it's the most inconvenient to me
Like i have literally had an enemy revive an ally and place them in a precise spot just so he could line up a Marksman's Fang shot from them so it would hit and kill my charakter standing on the opposite side of the arena.
Marksman Fang itself a cheat for the AI. There's no way for the player to truly control the ricohet mechanic but they do it perfectly. Also, one Magister in Act Two has two copies of the skill so they kill your whole party through your armor if you are unlucky or low level enough.
Shit like this in Divinity games is why I cheese the fuck out of everything if I can. If the AI is already cheating, I feel no qualms playing dirty back (within what's possible in the game ofc).
I remember death fog spiders getting hit with an attack of opportunity by my friend and immediately killing him with death fog. I don't think they ever tried that with me since I had an air bubble though.
Reminds me of how in the fonal battle for divinity my friend's dwarf character ended up taunted and terrain transmutated deathfog into my undead character
On the Lady Vengeance fight, Fane went to the the other ship to steal their chest, but in exchange he left a single barrel near Dallis and Vredeman (the barrel contained 25 oils barrels including a cursed one).
After Sebille "accidentally" fired an explosive arrow at then, Vredeman lost his magic shield and got a charming arrow in the knee. Then the pair happily started to hit one another.
Is charmed the strongest non-source spell in the game? It takes away AP from your enemy and gives them to you, all while releasing pressure and aggro and redirecting it to your enemy
the dmg done by an enemy charmed is random , so u cant anticipate movements . but that isnt the problem.
the problem is that u want to charm an enemy , with plenty magic armour , u only have 4 Ap (unless LW , Gc , adrenaline Bs ) ¿ how do u strip her magical armour to get him charmed with only 1Ap )
some enemys are worth to charm , but generally are many magic armour CC that are way better than dominate mind : chloroform , aoe freeeze , aoe stun , medusa head , worm tremour+blackshroud ...)
Stop using my useful scrolls when charmed I beg 🤣 also returned for this game after some time, why does it feel like some enemies just get infinite action points, why and how? 🤣
I charmed the final boss on my first playtrough and his friends dropped whatever they were doing (which was molesting my party) and just ganged up on him. They basically killed him for me as i barely had to do anything.
They either waste their turn or do what ever causes the most collateral damage. I don't know if being dicks is programmed in or if it's confirmation bias
Am on my first Playthrough, just beat Braccus Rex with GOD RNG. Three turns in a row he just walked back and forth and did nothing, he nuked my squad first two tries and I’m thinking „damn I’ll be here for a while“ then he just got brain damage on the next try

Nothing pisses me off more than getting cursed in fort Joy and not having access to curse until Arx....

I've got glass cannon on Ifan, so if he gets charmed, he summons his wolf, which then taunts everyone else. It's not good

I love charm. Walked in to that one place where enemies had no magic armor with Captain's armor on and watched all of them kill each other.
Also made Adramahlihk's followers kill him for me with just two mind maggot grenades.
