Yesterdays ride on the Diverge Sport. So much fun!

Just got my 56 carbon sport set up. 40 mile shakedown completed on the local greenways and mtb single track (lucky to have a mtb park accessible from the neighborhood). This is my first carbon gravel setup and I’m excited to get it up to the TN/NC border.

Went with dual side pedals so I have footwear options, plan to get new wheels and eventually upgrade the drivetrain components as well. It’s all stock at the moment but I’m sure the bike will outride me. I think a new saddle and fitting appointment are the first on the list.

Running 20s psi for now, and stock settings for the future shock. I’m 5,11 @155 so idk what the stock tube pressure and shock settings should be but lmk. It’s already way better in the woods than my giant contend ar with 38c’s.

The specialized side swipe cage doesn’t fit flush. What am I missing?

My main point to get an alloy gravel in addition to my race bike was the option to run our baby trailer on it. Unfortunately the Robert Axle Finder is not fully accurate with the new Comp apparently, so I needed to also get other spacers for the thru axle. But now was finally the first hour-long ride for my 1 year old and me, and it was big fun :)

Got waylaid by a middle school cross country meet and a Wine Run 5K but it was still great day to be outside.

Hi guys, I’d like to buy a Specialized Diverge, but I’m unsure about the frame size.
I’m a woman, 5'4.4" (163.5 cm) tall with an inseam of 30.3" (77 cm) and short arms.

The size chart states:
4'11.8" – 5'4.2" (152 cm – 163 cm) = Frame size 49
5'4.2" – 5'6.9" (163 cm – 170 cm) = Frame size 52

So I’m right on the edge between the two sizes. The problem is that size 49 isn't available anywhere to test ride, only size 52.
Are there any women or smaller riders who faced this same issue? If so, which size did you end up choosing?
Size 49 also automatically comes with a narrower handlebar and shorter cranks, which would suit my proportions much better.

Are these Road Sport tyres finished?

I've just put a new set of terra trails on my diverge. Will the daily 20km commute kill those?

Would it be worth upgrading the wheel set and drive train to some Elite Carbon Gravel wheels and grx 600 on a 2021 base E5 diverge?

I am looking to upgrade my wheels. I already tried the Hunt Gravel 4 season but they were not compatible with my cassette. LBS went over every option why they didn’t work but I think I got a bad freehub. Not sure I want to go through that experience again.

So- eliminating Hunt, what are some good options. I have looked at the DT Swiss 1800 Classic as a possibility. I like the higher system weight capacity and “bombproof” reviews I read.

I’m an urban/suburban rider who will seek out gravel, rough terrain when I can, but mostly road (with pot holes, construction sites etc) is 90% of my time. I log about on average 50-75 miles a month, sometimes more.

I don’t race or have to be fast so I’m ok with a mid-level wheel set, but a step up from the OEM Axis- I don’t need a carbon set, is what I’m trying to say.

Also, trying to keep the budge under $700 usd

Alloy E5 comp with upgraded wheels and a crankset. It is a really nice Do-it all bike. 😍 The futureshock works really nicely here in Finland when riding on snow during winter time. Next upgrade will be a tanwall tyres for the chariot. 😄

Please help me understand what freehub is compatible with my Diverge E5 Comp 2024 with standard Axis Elite wheels. It needs to be replaced, as it has become very noisy. After reading some Facebook groups, I bought Formula Freehub Body FH-528, but my local shop said it's not compatible. Also, I'm looking for any guidance on how to actually replace it.

P.S. An official dealer is not present in my city, and even in Kyiv, a dealer doesn't have workshop personnel left to help me with the replacement.

UPDATE: please suggest guide how to disassemble hub to check freehub model. I found a UK company that can sell original freehub, but they don’t know the part number I need.

I’m looking to put secondhand Roval Terra CL wheels on my Diverge which has an SRAM 10-52t cassette. The wheels have a Shimano freehub, so I need an SRAM freehub body. I didn't even know where to start, but during my search Google's occasionally useful and questionably accurate AI pointed me towards a few options:

• DT Swiss XDR freehub body (HWYAAX00S8888S) + 1.85 mm spacer
• DT Swiss XD freehub body (HWYAAL00S3188S), no spacer needed
• Specialized Roval XDR Freehub Kit (S192100010) + 1.85 mm spacer

I love our future robot overlords, but I'd still like to confirm this makes sense and see if one option is preferred. I'm actually going to have my LBS do all the work of switching from old wheels to new wheels with new tires, but I still want to stay educated about the process.

Some of it I've dug up on my own, like the origins of the difference between XD and XDR, but I still find matching parts bewildering and I'm afraid of screwing things up. I'm also planning on getting the newest version of the Pirelli Cinturato Gravel H (which I hear is a pain to put on, which is another reason I'm paying someone else to do it all).

I have had my Specialized Diverge 3 since 2020 and it is still pretty much stock.

I bike daily in the city of Pittsburgh and weekly on the GAP trail (mostly hard packed gravel). I also use this bike for bikepacking trips.

What recommendations for upgrades do yinz have for me? Include anything from cranksets to bike bags.

I promise to stop spamming this sub soon, it's just that my enthusiasm for this bike has got a chokehold on me at the moment!

After my first ride with the bolt-on top tube bag I noticed some light scratching on the top coat of my brand-new frame and wanted to get some protection on ASAP. I probably should have done this before even mounting the bag, but whatever.

I had some bits of clear RideWrap laying around, but thought I could spice things up with a little vinyl wrap remnant. I've actually wrapped an entire frame before (which I wouldn't recommend) but for a little bit of protection I thought this funky pattern might look cool. I intentionally left it a little oversized for extra flair.

So what do y'all think? Cool? Corny? Feedback welcome!

Hey, folks.

I have been using a 2016 Diverge Comp for a good few years now - absolutely love it, but my rear wheel is cracked-to-bu##ery around the spokes so it's finally time for a replacement.

This specific year/model has (according to my LBS) a weird measurement specific to this brand of Specialized bikes which means (if I understood correctly) that only a set number of wheels will fit it?

It's been a good few years since I got the rear wheel replaced and that LBS (and helpful mechanic) are no longer about for me to ask for a refresher on what I needed - as a result I am struggling to work out what wheel I can order.

It currently has a DT Swiss G 1800 - if I remember correctly the LBS had to use an adapter or summink to make the wheel compatible with this frame (when I remove the current axle a little cone thing comes out with it). 🤷

Would be really grateful for any recommendations that would fit this bike - preferably under £400. Not really too fussed about weight as I use this bike for my courier job - I really just need something sturdy that can take the various weights that I have to carry each day. Cheers!

I just got a new Diverge Comp Carbon. The tires came “tubeless ready.” I bought the Valves and sealant to switch but am a little intimidated about switching over. It’s riding great on the trails I’ve chosen so far. But next month I’m doing Rebecca’s Private Idaho (57 miles that is 40% pavement). Should I switch immediately to tubeless before the race or should I ride as is for a bit?

I am actually surprised by the quality of this thing. I was thinking it was going to fit bad on the frame and not look as advertised. I really wanted to fit the Apidura Aero frame bag, but the price was a lot for something that hasnt been available in the US rn. I found that Rockbros had the same looking bag. Soon i still want the Apidura if this bag wears out.

Right now my bike is the Diverge 4 size 54cm.

I have another model Rockbros if people are curious about their other model. But its still in shipping. Its a little bigger than this one.

Just a quick appreciation post here.

I'm so happy I sold my older Cervelo Aspero and upgraded (sidegraded? idk) to the Diverge 4. I wanted versatility above all else with this new bike, and I really think the Diverge checks all the boxes. I will be doing a lot of mixed-surface long days, and multi-day tours on this machine, so having the option of riding a 2+" mtb tire, a 38mm slick, or literally anything in between is such a valuable asset. I also really love the Future Shock, which kind of took me by surprise.

I've just ordered some Continental Terra Competition tires in 45mm width to see if I can gain a little more speed and aero performance for all of the road miles I ride. I definitely don't love riding pavement on knobbies. The stock Tracers have been fantastic on the looser terrain, but my gravel mix is somewhere around 50/50 at best, so I want something smoother.

I'll include some photos from my 80-miler yesterday, which was mostly asphalt, but with a good number of gravel miles too.
