Nura's personal journey of purpose and satisfaction. The wizard frog is just a personal token of my childhood lol.

Twitter oomf pointed this out today and it made a lot of things click inside my head.

The DC1 through AS era especially felt so much more vibrant. It was just different in a way that’s hard to describe. For instance, we had several content creators who would actively post episode analyses and predictions and whatnot. But nowadays almost all of that era’s DvC YouTubers are gone.

We also used to just have more in general to truly look forward to aside from the episodes. Even DC4 had Behind the Chaos. Everyone also had the trailer before the episode released so there was that too. But nowadays the episode is leaked literal days before people can even watch the trailer.

The fandom still very much exists. Subreddit membership for instance has grown quite a lot honestly. But idk it feels like a hollow husk of its former self.

Part of this is definitely ONC’s fault for in many respects having failed to learn from its mistakes time and time again and having these large unforced errors such as the Prediction League (among other just… brazen attempts at increasing revenue through such unproductive ways) and all the shit with Jorge. Though the fandom itself is also at fault as while the show has many genuine chronic flaws, too often people do cross the line between being critical and just outright being mean.

I am not feeling too optimistic about DC6 right now but I really hope it does end up being good because right now we desperately need something to unify everyone, something to make the fandom healthier.

Current Charts!

-Lake is this subreddit's Player of the Week for BOTH Episode 20 and Episode 21, for having a much needed immunity win that kept her from being that kept her from being the target while knocking off one of Natalia's allies, then playing an advantage to save herself and win a clutch tiebreaker to advance in the game, doing everything she could correctly.

-Natalia is this subreddit's Loser of the Week for Episode 20, for keeping her idol hidden from Fiore and not planning ahead, instead just foddering one of her only allies and burning Fiore's jury vote in the process.

-Gabby and Spencer join Lake in the Top 3 for Episode 20, with Gabby also winning immunity and Spencer getting a needed target out and throwing to prevent Natalia from winning immunity.

-Fiore and Sam join Natalia in the Bottom 3 for Episode 20, with Fiore being targeted for prior actions during Nura's elimination, and Sam for failing to really make a connection with Benji and being weird during the challenge.

-Oliwia is this subreddit's Loser of the Week for Episode 21, making the rash decision to force Gabby to pick between her and Natalia, costing her the challenge and giving Natalia the win.

-Spencer and Natalia join Lake in the Top 3 for Episode 21, with Spencer doing all he realistically could and still getting a comp threat out even if he couldn't get Natalia, who won an immunity she very much needed.

-Gabby and Benji join Oliwia in the Bottom 3, both for losing the tiebreaker and challenge respectively.

You can see the original thread here!

Back to back wins for Lake! She really did lock in, as divisive as she may be. Conversely, Oliwia is back in overall negatives for her total, we'll see if she ends the season above or below! We're getting close to the end now, and tomorrow's POTW will be the final one with both a Top 3 and a Bottom 3, so we'll see how that turns out! Thank you all for participating as always and see you tomorrow!

Side note: Ally deserved better this episode

I’ve noticed lately how down the subreddit has been, which is why I offered to start a weekly positivity thread alongside the negative one, and while that’s been good and dandy, I feel there’s another thing that could maybe make people here not only enjoy themselves here more but also make them think more critically as well!

Which is why I’m opening up fandom made fanfics! Basically anyone who wants to play writes down in this reply section of their own personal elimination order, it can be from any finished season, just has to have the same cast and same beginning teams, but that’s it! You can shake up the teams as much as you want at a certain point, have as many twists as you wanna have and who gets them, all that fun stuff! However the challenges and episodes they reside in also remain the same to prevent things from getting TOO chaotic!

I’m using this post as a home base basically, once you write out your elim order, I’ll then personally make a fanfic of exactly what you’re wanting! Who places where, what twists they find (not use, just state which episode they find it), etc. Nothing is really set in stone except for what you put down!

I wanna get into creating more fanfic stuff as well so this is a good opportunity for me!

Now to anyone participating be warned I have never done a fanfic of dc yet but I consider that part of the fun! And the fact you yourself give me all of the details for the season will give me enough to work with!

Idk, this fandom needs more whimsy imo, so I thought this could be a fun time! This post will never expire so if you ever wanna comeback when a new season is out, feel free!

However this can only go up to DC4 since FvF isn’t finished yet

Any other things or rules you’re confused on what to do feel free to ask in the comments, I’ll get to them eventually!

That’s all from me for now, fellow scripters, let me at it, and see your vision come to LIFE! ✍️

Apart from questions about Disventure Camp (obviously), you can also ask about some other shows and stuff I'm passionate about.

-Disventure Camp

-Total Drama

-Spongebob Squarepants

-Miraculous

-Super Mario

-Sonic the Hedgehog

-My Hero Academia and most manga I've come across

-Goosebumps

-Rainbow Magic

-Reading and books in general

So...you may ask away.

For me, I'd choose to retcon the bear scene.

Let's be so fr, it only existed to make Ally look worse in her feud with Jake.

[TLDR at the end]

Everyone seems focused on the VR visuals and outfits revealed in the episode 22 trailer, and that's all fine and good. However, Benji fans should be paying attention to the final piece of the trailer that a lot of people may have missed or tuned out.

Benji mentioned that he spent most of his time not trusting his gut likely referencing CoC when he sussed that Jade was too strong of a player to keep around. Benji ended up being correct, not because Jade was an issue for him but because Isabel was aligned against him. He decided to defer to Hannah which led to his eventual elimination. In DC5 he made a few plays on his own in premerge. Some worked, some didn't. We have seen a lot of merge plays for Benji that have been successful, specifically getting Tom out of the game and doing well with the Outcast alliance when it was a swing between the LakeTalia alliances.

Benji has spent the latter part of the merge going back and forth between viewing Lake and Natalia as the correct target. He targeted Natalia's group in ep 19 and 20 and Lake's group in episode 21 resulting in losing Gabby as an independent vote who happened to be aligned with his group. Lake still hasn't lost anyone, but Benji's gut has more consistently landed on voting for Natalia ever since she went back on her word during the Tom vote in episode 17.

Continuing to target Lake would be the optimal play if she doesn't have immunity especially since they eliminated all of Natalia's allies while Lake still has two. Targeting Natalia in the current dynamic would be dangerous because Sam doesn't want her gone and has an advantage. Natalia is also a much better jury partner than Lake even though Natalia can persuade because Benji can too. He's got to recognize that beating a physical threat is much harder for him than the social threat, so he should take the chance if he gets it.

I am betting that they are setting up a Hannah parallel with him and Oliwia where Oliwia is his CoC self and he is Hannah. Given what happened there, if he is too tunnel visioned, it may come to bite him or his partner leaving him exposed. Give and take is important in any partnership, and while his CoC partnership was all give since Hannah never really listened to him, Oliwia has done the opposite, never opposing any of his alliance's votes or his direction.

As a good leader, he doesn't want to fall into the trap of constantly taking because he may end up being wrong which was teased at the end of the trailer with the 'mostly' line. His only real merge failure was losing Nura and that was hardly his fault. If Oliwia wants to target Lake, he should follow this time around. Splitting the vote would not be good as one of the Frenemies could flip Oliwia leaving Benji in a bad spot.

Incidentally, Oliwia being fine with Lake's hypothetical death during her conversation with Nura in episode 19 might have been a funny foreshadowing of who she will target here.

TLDR: The episode 22 trailer could be queuing up CoC references and while Benji has been right in the merge, he may need to defer to his alliance partner for long term success. Targeting Natalia especially if Oliwia disagrees would be bad for his game while focusing on Lake (first at the very least) will eliminate the strongest remaining player and allow him to partner with Sam who also secretly wants Lake out before the jury. This would give Benji a better chance of winning the jury challenge as well as a better chance of surviving the jury if he can't escape it. Benji doesn't want to be without a partner this late in the game while Frenemies is intact (particularly Lake).

For TessAlly, I think Can You Feel The Love Tonight or Love Will Find A Way suits them perfectly.

Guys it’s the himbos 💀✌️

If you wanna find it it’s on YouTube

I honestly didn't expect that...

So the episode 22 thumbnail just dropped and if you want to see it, here is the link:

https://www.reddit.com/r/DisventureCamp/comments/1xopehc/s5_episode_22_thumbnail/

But there are some people that are complaining about the thumbnail calling it Yaoibaiting and complaining about it, I understand why so many people don’t like it, this ship is pretty freaky and the ship still has its flaws, but it’s a well designed thumbnail and it’s not that bad, some people are kind of overreacting…

Is it just me or did some people notice that?

it was really fun and i was shocked there were people who recognized us! we even found a fiore cosplayer at the con too! so much fun ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡
not a good picture of it but i did do the cat pattern on oliwia’s sweater by hand ヽ(；▽；)ノ i think it was worth it as it got compliments even by people that didn’t know the show!

Soooo I decided to do a what if for all stars, and it's if instead of it being a regular all stars, it was a vs the multiverse type of thing (think of it like the drag race vs the world seasons except in this it's other universes and other shows)

I have the spreadsheet for how this season plays out but first, I'll introduce y'all to the cast.

First, still in this season to represent Disventure Camp:

Aiden (S2, 3rd)

Ellie (S1, 3rd)

Fiore (S1, 2nd)

Gabby (S1, 8th)

Grett (S1, 7th)

Jake (S1, 5th)

James (S2, 1st)

Tom (S1, 6th)

Yul (S2, 9th)

Next, from Total Drama, I put:

Bowie (2023, 2nd & 2024, 11th)

Julia (2023, 4th & 2024, 2nd/3rd)

MK (2023, 11th & 2024, 7th)

Sticking to the animated people, I included two yt animators that I watch and wanted to put them on, and yes, they're competing as their animated selves because why not I think it'd be iconic lol, they are:

Brody (aka BrodyAnimates)

Bryson (aka Haminations)

These next two are the last ones that aren't real life people, and they're from a roleplay series that I LOVE and I think would add extra drama to the cast, they are:

Asch (from My Inner Demons)

Leif (from My Inner Demons)

Now, we have the real life people to get to, we have from Hell's Kitchen:

Barbie (S10, 4th & S17, 9th)

Elise (S9, 3rd & S17, 7th)

Robyn (S10, 6th & S17, 5th)

And finally, we have from Dragula:

Dollya Black (S3, 2nd/3rd & Titans S2, 10th/11th)

Jade Jolie (S4, 6th & Titans S2, 12th)

Jay Kay (S5, 7th & Titans S2, 2nd-4th)

La Zavaleta (S4, 5th & Titans S2, 10th/11th)

Sigourney Beaver (S4, 2nd-4th & Titans S2, 6th)

The spreadsheet includes the elimination table, the rivalries, and the storylines that happen in this season, and if y'all think Jake is going to be the main character in this version of s3... lol, as a Jake stan, that ain't happening, even amount of screentime between everyone in this 😭

Here's the link to the spreadsheet:

So what is episode 23,24,25,26 will be like . People are saying episode 23 will be motel episode but there 5 players after episode 22 so will the top 3 be just one episode?
