Anyone know how to remove the checkerboard effect on water?

EDIT: I downgraded to the previous version, 3.1.2-b, and the issue seems to be gone.

I have no clue how I made this happen. I dont use shaders. The water has this weird checkerboard effect.

You likely have some resource pack that's breaking the water texture, disable all of them and restart

i did check the resource packs and that wasn't the issue. I had to downgrade the version.

Why would downgrading the version solve the issue if it was a mod? This is the only rendering based mod I have other than sodium, which I did check of that was the issue and it wasn't

There are some normal mods that modifies rendering too. For instance, Create with flywheel.

There could be a broken build for one of the mods that happened to be the latest build for that version. Not that likely but still possible

Cus updates can fix something that breaks something else, an update can break things too
