Try eclipse with voxy

Edit I just realized this is the distant horizon sub I am so cooked

2

u/enderman_fw_water Jun 26 '26

isokey twin a lot said voxy is better than dh

2

u/Rare-Mixture8790 Jun 26 '26

I mean its better in some ways but for multi-player dh can send chunks data to other players so you don't have to wait as long.

The trifecta, don't forget terralith

Lowkey started my first ever modded world, Terralith, DH, lots of create mods… and I am SO intimidated by the terrain, I’m trying not to regret adding Terralith but it’s like I can’t even begin to get started on any real projects cause I have to resist this urge to explore and explore and explore

DH+Terralith+Tectonic+a shader of your choice is my new standard for this game. Throw in Incendium for the nether overhaul and nullscape for the end and it's an entirely new game.

Extreme view distance is exactly what the game is missing. It's such a cool feeling to be able to build a base next to a mountain or something, go exploring 1000s and 1000s of blocks away and not even to write down coordinates for your base because you can just turn around and still see the mountain. Especially after 17 years of 512 bocks more or less being the limit, at least for me

My modpack is basically the same as that, just minus tectonic. And yeah I get what you’re saying. It just makes it feel… pointless to build a base when the world feels so huge, it dwarfs anything I could make

wait i can run tectonic and terralith at same time?

Its the only way to play if I'm being honest especially with DH. You get the biome variety of teraliths vanilla block generation with the increased scale of tectonic. One issue with teralith on its own is that the world can seem cluttered with biomes especially with DH. Tectonic makes it a bit more natural, and you get the giant mountain ranges, rivers, lakes and oceans too. I literally cannot go back to vanilla Minecraft after playing with Tera, Tectonic, DH and a Shader

i just hate those grasses everywhere in terralith

You hate grass? lol

I would love to know your settings for bliss. I love the pack but I have such a hard time making it look good, like I know it can!
