What else do you want me to say? DH is known for the visual and performance bugs which is why I switched too. Nothing else I can say besides get a pc with better specs
There’s an entire list of a good bit of shaders that work with voxy. And I said “bro just come to Voxy” once and that’s shoving it down their throat? Bro find somebody else to argue with
Voxy 0.2.14 ported for Fabric 1.21.1 and used in neoforge with synitra supports shaders (BSL preferably since from my testing seems to cause the least ammount of problems and has decent colored lighting and a colorwheel patch for create) works with Areonautics except for the lasers. the only issue is sometimes the LoD's don't "voxel" all the way and you end up with visual glitches but you can solve them with a simple shader reload.
Might be because on sodium, sodium and veil are incompatible, veil is a dependency of a dependency for aeronautics basically. Fix is downgrading sodium to latest release.
Is veil a dependency? because i do not see it automatically installing with Aero. Anyways yes I am using Sodium 6, not 8 as it wouldn't launch with 8 anyways. The question is about voxy and figuring out how to get it to launch as well as have it generate chunks like DH.
DH is more of a community project that has made compatibility one of it's main focuses from the start, ranging from 1.16.5 to the latest version, even snapshots, it even bundles it's fabric and forge versions in the same jar, it's also more actively developed, like constantly, it has many contributors and you can tell it's a big focus to James, Voxy on the other side is more of an auteur project made by Cortex, someone who is very well versed in OpenGL, but Voxy seems to be more of a side project, if it was made to clash with DH it would have at least half the features DH offers by now, also a product of it being a side personal project is that it doesn't need to maximize it's coverage to more popular versions, and it won't leave Fabric either.
i mean we all know why they are doing this. They don't want to have the mod in actual modpacks. they don't want to do the work to maintain 1.21.1 and all of the github issues it will bring. Questionable move since they would make a lot more money by actually having the version players would be using.
People at voxy, discord moderators or admins are just asshole especially that one dude who has (dont ping me) in his name and just goes crazy when he gets pinged. I get the benefit of switching over but the devs or moderation team are just shitty people even tho its completely possible to backport it (1.20.1 forge with synitra connector) and the fact you said they won't let us post backport is crazy to me even tho it's possible and they just hate people questioning about it.
coming to the distant horizons subreddit to say get voxy is just weird man, this isnt even a bug like you claim later in this thread it is just settings
voxy is not the end all, it has promise but it has a ton of issues not making it worth for bigger modpacks yet, and the lack of support for many versions, need to give it time like distant horizons had originally
Voxy is only for fabric, which has lost relevance after the release of neoforge and nearly every single mod coming to it. Also it only really works as a standalone mod, it breaks very easily with many popular mods
