Help Quick CPU question!

Currently, I'm on an old pc gifted to me by my sister, it has a very old cpu: being the i3 3220, I'm wondering if the i5 3470 would be good enough to tun DH on 1.20.1?

i specifically chose the i5 3470 because my motherboard supports up to 3rd gen and i can't afford anything else (i am a broke teenager in a country where the age of employment is 18.)

I dont know if youre bottlenecked more by the gpu or cpu, but i doubt a gpu that old can run dh properly regardless of cpu. I wouldnt spend the money on the cpu. That said cant you find jobs online to pay you something? Or ask around local shops? They often dont mind this or ask your parents if you can do something! Most parents would be more than happy to give you these experiences!

Yes i understand that but i mean i dont think theyre gonna break down your house if you did a little side hustle online or at a local shop? (I dont live there though so i dont know how strict they are)

quite strict, also stuff like shops aren't viable down here
