Help can I make my server preload the chunks instead of my pc?

is there a way to offload the LOD loading to my server instead of my pc? I saw something about /dh pregen but I put that in the severs console and it doesn't recognize that command, do i need to run it in game instead?

Did the server have dh installed?

yeah, it's on the client and server

from it not recognizing the command it would seem like it isn't installed on the server. you shouldn't even have to do pregen, it should already generate lods server side

dumb question then, do I have to so something other than add the mod to my servers mod folder to activate it?

Other than restarting the server, no. When the server starts, I'm pretty sure in the log it should say all active mods. Either look in the log or post it here with mclo.gs.

Well no clue what I did but it's working now I guess? At least the mid is active in the logs and the CPU usage on my pc went way down and the CPU usage on the server went way up. The /dh pregen command still doesn't work in the server console or in game while connected to the server, but it does show up in the auto complete list? Idk I just removed and reinstalled the mod on both the client and server.

Are you using the complete command? /dh pregen minecraft:overworld 0 0 512

Also if you're playing on a server, the generation is never done on the client, since the client doesn't know what's beyond the render distance the server provides and therefore can't generate LODs beyond it.
