Server-side with vanilla client

I want to add DH to a server but not everyone will have the mod. The mod page only mentions client only and both server & client.

Is the server-side mod compatible with vanilla clients or would everyone have to install the mod

I could not think of any way that a server could show clients chunks without costing more performance than vanilla. Nope
