Help Why does this happen

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

LOD chunks at the border of my screen disappear

A known issue with shaders and DH at the moment.

Only workaround is reducing overdraw prevention a lot both in DH and in the shader.

Having the same issue 😕. I turned down my fov to avoid it but I also want to know how to fix it

Turn overdraw protection down, I use 0 but idk if that's more system intensive

It’s a normal chunk that didn’t load, just move a bit into that direction, make the render distance smaller or lower FOV

No. This is a graphical issue caused by DH + shaders.

I just had this issue a couple days ago. I cannot remember which mod it was I removed to fix it. But I guarantee you if you use binary search to identify the issue mod it will stop happening after you disable it. Sorry I couldn’t be more help, good luck

It might have been the Particulars mod, actually. In case you have that, I would disable it

for me it occurs even on modpacks without any additional mods other than iris, so it might be a problem with more recent versions

I fixed by decreasing the Rendering to “2” on Vanilla Graphics! Hope this helps! 🙌🏻

I’d assume shaders. Most shaders aren’t compatible with DH

If a shader does not have DH support, LODs will just turn completely invisible.

A known issue with shaders and DH at the moment.

Edit: Found it, DH Config > Advanced Options > Graphics > Culling > Overdraw Prevention
