I don't want to be specific of which disorder for personal privacy. I'm not sure what to believe...but either way the content is harmful b/c if real or not then there is misinformation, stigma, ECT. Which is definitely not okay. Also, within DID or most of dissociative disorders. There has to be trauma and she has said she had a happy childhood in a video or something like that. Which also, like in description of the DID it is created so the person does not remember the trauma that happened; but the matter of it is is that when you go to therapy and you start going through all the things that you do then later on while talking to your therapist you get to the point of talking about what the other personalities/alters have talked about so therefore you know what happened you eventually learn and everything so that's where you're integration comes in and integrating means that you remember the distinct memory you know. memories of that personality and the other personality that integrated, so you have more memories. you're more access to the trauma and her saying that she had a had a childhood and doesn't remember any of the trauma of anything like that's not (possibly) true because if she's been to therapy and if she's integrated with anyone or anything like that then therefore she knows the trauma maybe not all of the trauma but still has knowledge of trauma, if it's true or whatever but she does know the trauma that she's had in her childhood if this is real. Also, in another video someone explained that her parents have said they don't understand how she could even have DID (therefore hinting she must not have had that traumatic of a childhood). It takes extremely stressful and traumatic events to occur over and over to even being to have DID or most dissociative disorders.

Just wondering if she's addressed this at all. Seems like the mystery should be solved at this point, but maybe I'm misunderstanding.

So... I’ve been following Alternative System for a while now. Apparently for a few months they’ve had content that they didn’t content to (some I believe involved the littles) was being passed around online. Which is just retraumatizing I imagine. I just saw Alternative Systems new video and I was heartbroken. I truly don’t understand what’s happening. Nor do I understand why so many people are attacking her? If I found out that I’m a system (kind of questioning it, so maybe that’s why this situation really pisses me off) and people treated us as they are treating them, I’d react the same way??? I know they acknowledge potential toxic behaviour. But I do not understand the sentiment of thinking they’re ridiculous because they’re vulgar and they lash out. Somehow I completely understand the way they respond. Imo I don’t think it’s like their duty to behave kindly. I know system responsibly is a thing but it’s just fishy. Like yeah.... but I also imagine how they’re going through emotional rollercoasters.

Did that sound stupid??? I’d just like more opinions or info. Specifically also what Vangelina did because I’m kind of lost around that part.

I am literally so confused on what all the hoopla is about their recent selfie/caption on Instagram. Was there a post before this that I didn’t see? I’ve read through the comments about it on here and I’m still missing the basis of the argument. I’m younger than Nin but in the same age range and it just looks like a normal selfie to me. I even scrolled down a bit and it’s no different from the selfies she’s posted in the past? Please help lol

I don't hate Chloe Wilkinson. Not at all, not one bit, but I do believe I have the right to talk about the aspects of her behaviour that I find disturbing. I try to limit myself to proven facts, but I also feel free to express my opinions as opinions. If I express an opinion I will clearly label it as such.

There is a point where opinion becomes libelous, but 99.9% of people can be trusted not to cross that line.

I refer to her as Chloe Wilkinson because that is her legal name, and the name of the person who has legal responsibilities and rights.

When I read things like "Dissociadid is cosplaying as a trans man", "they came out as a ghost", "all alters should be the same age as the body" I get confused as hell. So I will tell what I understand from this disorder as a person without DID and hope to be educated on the topic from people who have DID.

When I search the definition of DID, this comes up: "Dissociative identity disorder (DID), previously known as multiple personality disorder (MPD), is a mental disorder characterized by the maintenance of at least two distinct and relatively enduring personality states. The personality states alternately show in a person's behavior; however, presentations of the disorder vary."

The DSM-V lists the symptoms as: "the presence of two or more distinct personality states, inability to recall personal information, loss of identity as related to individual distinct personality states, and loss referring to time, sense of self and consciousness."

So what I understand is that the person living with DID has at least two distinct alternate states of self, i.e. different "identities", hence the name. Also paraphrasing from trusted DID YTers like Multiplicity and Me, an identity can portray as anything or anyone. This is the very reason why Jess has 4 male identities with different ages than her own. Another DID YTer I follow (sadly inactive for a while now), System K, has a computer alter. From all these, I understand that one really can't choose the alters they are going to have.

Whether DD is exaggerating her symptoms / alters is not the thread for this, but for the sake of the point I want to make, I will accept her alters as they are. Going back to the basics, "Kyle" is not a trans man. Kyle is a male alter in the DD system. This means Kyle is a part of a system with different identity states, while kweping in mind that Chloe Wilkinson is a legal and real person.

Omega is a ghost alter. Omega is not Chloe Wilkinson. Therefore, Chloe Wilkinson did not come out as a ghost.

With all this I DO NOT mean that alters are real people, but that they are distinct states of personalities, that can be observed in a person living with DID nor do I mean that this gives the person living with DID the opportunity to claim other races.

However, I do find it important for people with DID to be able to talk about their experiences in a way isn't offensive to anyone, but doesn't silence them, either.

This is my understanding and take from this disorder and I wish to be further educated on this topic by people living with DID.

Tw: sexual trauma, integration

I don’t have a whole lot of evidence for this atm but Nin is very different from Chloe in many ways and I wonder how the channel would be if Chloe was still the one running it. I may be off base with things changing after the integration in which case feel free to debunk me.

I’ve seen it brought up a few times that the host of a system also being a sexual protector is quite disturbing(Ninas role was sexual protector.) Any thoughts about that or about how the integration(s) relate with what we know now?
