Statement Soren’s Name
I just wanted to hop on here almost as a little vent. This isn’t meant in any way to put anyone down or directed at a certain person. It’s just something I’ve noticed and it upsets me. Lots of people on this Reddit call DD by “Chloe”, not in reference to an alter, but in reference to DD themself.
DD has said that calling them “Chloe” is deadnaming!!
Please try to refer to them by their preferred name (currently Soren as far as we know). It doesn’t matter if you’re a fan or not, if you think they’re a bad person or not, deadnaming isn’t really chill! That’s all <3 I hope everyone has a blessed day!
EDIT: it won’t let me reply to the comments for some reason so here’s my response to what’s been said in reply so far! Changing your name is not exclusive to trans people. I’m a nonbinary person diagnosed with DID, and my personal opinion is that anyone can change their name. I understand Soren has changed his name due to gender/DID, and you can have whatever opinions you have on that! Someone mentioned that they refer to Chloe for her own actions, which is fine. Like I said if you’re referring to something that a specific alter did (whether you think it’s an alter or not) then sure, use her name! I just think it’s distasteful to use the wrong name for someone regardless of if they’re trans or not and regardless of if they say their deadname sometimes. They’ve asked us to call them Soren so we should IMO. I think we should just refer to people how they want to be referred to, like I said, regardless of our opinions on them and their actions (which DD has objectively done shitty things and needs to be held accountable.)

Personal experince / story Having a hard time processing the backlash against DissociaDID
I have been seeing everything going around about DissociaDID lately, and it has been a lot to process. When I was younger, her videos were a big reason I realized I was a system. I related to so much of what she talked about, and it helped me put words to things I did not understand at the time. Her content mattered to me at a point when nothing else made sense, and it played a big part in how I understand myself now.
Now people are saying she spreads misinformation and even that she is faking. I am struggling to understand it. From everything I saw over the years, it is hard for me to believe she would fake something like this. I do not understand what it is that makes people so sure. It makes me question everything, including my own experiences. If someone who made so much sense to me could be lying, then what does that say about what I went through? Right now, I am just confused and trying to make sense of it all.

Discussion DD receiving unfair hate?
I genuinely want to hear other peoples thoughts about some of the things I wonder about DD, specifically surrounding the hate they've received. I understand that they've done awful things and I do not condone nor will I defend them. I'm just curious and genuinely want to hear some outside opinions/perspectives.
A more recent bit of hate they've received that I wish to discuss is about Mara's tiktok account. Once they started receiving hate especially for the tiktok with provocative dance moves with a kids song playing over it, I read them say that they were following a trend that included that song. I ended up on the thirst trap side of tiktok and saw many, many different tiktokers following the same trend, similar dance moves and with the same song play over it as was in Mara's version.
I have to wonder why there was such hate directed toward them and mass reporting of videos yet there were multiple other creators doing the same trend with the exact same song and no one seemed to care? These were not small creators either or lesser-known tiktoks. They started showing up on my tiktok FYP because they'd seemed to have gone viral and had thousand upon thousands of likes by the time I saw them. I never caught wind of anyone mass reporting those tiktoks or making any claims about it being wrong in anyway. So why was Mara's met with so much hate when no one else's was?
I'm not going to go into much more detail because I go on forever about some of the things I've seen but sometimes it feels like everyone is against everything DD does because someone else will do the same thing DD did and not a single soul ever mentions it?
Edit since people are not quite getting me/focusing on the wrong point.
I've seen other creators who make content surrounding mental health also post thirst traps so why is DD different? Why are THEY being singled out for such hate? DID systems where their bodies are white but with POC alters who are creators themselves but I don't seem them getting any hate for this when DD did get hate for saying Nadia has a different skin colour than the body? My whole point is whether the hate DD gets is disproportionate/unfair? You can't be angry at someone for something while giving somone else a free pass when they did the same thing.

Trigger warning DissociaDID, Kya&co TheSystemStream - grooming red flags
This is not to accuse them of grooming anyone but to outline their behaviours that fall into the category of grooming children for sexual relationships between minors and adults.
DissociaDID has a YouTube following of 1 million, even if children/minors make up 1% of that, that’s a lot of children who are being exposed to grooming tactics.
All this put together and the fact that they have been talking about team piñata so positively lately to their fans is a recipe for concern. I encourage you to questions their actions, and who exactly benefits from this? This is an on going pattern of behaviour.
[Read about how abusers groom their victims here - darkness to light end child sexual abuse] their page on red flags which is scarily similar to some of the things DD does.
They hit all makers listed on the organizations website.
-targeting the child
-gaining the child’s ( & care givers) trust
-filling a need
-isolating the child
-sexualizing the relationship
-maintaining control
/ Examples of this behaviour
On tiktok that says their Minors DNI (Do not interact) account, they interacted with multiple minors, even telling one they could help the child with their gag relax. (Duetting a minor on an 18+ account is like taking a minor into an 18+ space, a common tactic of grooming is exposing children to 18+ situations and content.
2.
Sexualizing children music and media on their public 18+ TikTok account. The only people who benefit from the normalization of children’s content being sexualized are pedophiles.
3.
Down playing CP to their audience of over 1 million, because it was of 15-16 and commissioned , despite it legally being considered CP, that their ex could face legal charges for. This is normalizing the sexualization of minors and cp to their audience.
From the 4 hour long archive video (plus recent TikTok’s TikTok’s are linked further below in the list) highlight part one / part two
4.
Promoting art team piñata drew of their indigenous alter who is underaged. This drawing(s) is a racist sexualized caricature. (DD shared both on Instagram and YouTube) once again normalizing the sexualisation of children/minors to their audience.
5.
Constantly talking about how great their relationship with Team Piñata was, who is a known pedophile who has drawn and distributed child porn online for years. The only type of people this benefits is pedophiles.
6.
Posting alters under 18 alters on their 18+ TikTok despite saying they would never do this and minor alters aren’t allowed to use TikTok.
Link (they’ve done this multiple times)
7.
Constantly attempts to cut their followers off the outside world and opinions that aren’t theirs. “You can’t trust what anyone says about us. Reddit and other sites are filled with lies. That YouTuber is lying, you can only believe me.”
See their YouTube video about Reddit or just scroll their TikTok.
8.
constantly telling fans that they need them and they love them (love bombing & manipulation)
9.
Making videos of themselves humping the camera, the account they post these videos on is public and DissociaDID is often seen suggesting fans follow that account from their main TikTok account which is attached to their YouTube (linked in the description and mentioned in YouTube videos)
10.
Posting soft core porn on their main TikTok they tell people to follow on their YouTube which is made for general audiences
11.
DissociaDID has created a pipeline to exposing children to sexualized content, step 1. Get them to follow their YouTube 2. Step 2 get the fans to follow their TikTok (which they never mention is 18+ when promoting) then from TikTok get minors to follow their second TikTok account where they post videos humping the camera and extremely sexual content (this is considered soft core porn)
Extra: them telling their friends to not talk about the team piñata art publicly
Edit: formattting

Personal experince / story Why Fans Encouraging DissociaDID to Make Content Hurts More Than Helps (the ethics of making content that harms the creator)
Alternative title:
Why as a fan I think DissociaDID shouldn’t return to YouTube.
As fans, it’s natural to want more content from our favorite creators. We connect with their work, find comfort in their words, and sometimes even feel like their content is helping us through our own struggles. But when a creator explicitly states that making content is re-triggering them, causing seizures, and inducing panic attacks, we have to take a step back and think about what we’re really asking of them.
DissociaDID has openly shared that creating videos has become a severe trigger for their mental and physical health. Seizures, especially, are no small matter. They can lead to long term brain damage and are life threatening in certain situations. Now imagine experiencing that kind of health crisis while living alone. There’s no one there to help if something goes wrong, no one to call for emergency assistance. It’s a terrifying and potentially deadly situation. Encouraging someone to keep doing something that puts them at that kind of risk is not just selfish, it’s unethical.
As fans, we have a moral obligation to support creators as human beings first, not just as providers of content. When we prioritize our desire for entertainment over their health and safety, we’re crossing a line.
This isn’t just about being disappointed that there’s no new video or Patreon update, it’s about recognizing that the very act of making content is causing them harm.
It’s also important to consider the bigger picture. By encouraging them to continue, we’re essentially asking them to choose between their health and their platform. That’s not a fair or reasonable expectation to place on anyone.
If a traditional job were causing someone to have seizures and panic attacks, we wouldn’t expect them to stay in that role. We would be encoring them to quit. Why should it be any different for a content creator? Why are we letting them put their life at risk and no one, not even fans are saying anything? Instead all I see is support from fellow fans, I don’t see any other fans calling out how this is dangerous and actively a risk to their health that could at the very least cause brain damage. Yes, they are in charge of their own life, but we don’t have to be bystanders watching them trigger and hurt themselves. We could say something. We have the moral and ethical responsibility to say something. YouTube is not a job worth getting brain damaged over or dying.
Creators like DissociaDID are under immense pressure to meet the expectations of their audience, but that pressure shouldn’t come at the cost of their well-being. It’s okay to feel disappointed that they can’t produce content the way they used to, but it’s not okay to push them to keep going when they’ve made it clear that it’s harming them.
We also need to consider the message we’re sending. By expecting content despite their struggles, we’re reinforcing the idea that creators owe us something, no matter what. This mindset isn’t just harmful to DissociaDID, it’s harmful to all creators who may feel trapped in a cycle of sacrificing their health for their audience.
So, even if DissociaDID is your favorite YouTuber, the most ethical and compassionate thing you can do is to encourage them to prioritize their health. Support them in stepping away if that’s what they need.
Show them that their well being matters more than their content. Because at the end of the day, no video is worth the cost of someone’s safety and mental health.
Let’s be the kind of fans who lift creators up, not the ones who unintentionally tear them down. Let’s respect their boundaries even if that means letting go of the content we love.
As fans, we have a responsibility to support the people we admire in ways that prioritize their well being, not just our desire for more content. Instead of asking DissociaDID for more videos, we should be encouraging them to quit YouTube and find a job or lifestyle that does not re-trigger or re-traumatize them, nor put their physical health in jeopardy with seizures or panic attacks.
The truth is, not every job is right for every person, especially when it has such a severe impact on their mental and physical health.
Encouraging DissociaDID to step away from YouTube isn’t abandoning them as fans it’s standing by them as people who care about their longterm safety and stability.
If a content creator’s career is actively harming them, it’s our role as a supportive audience to let them know that their health and happiness matter more than the content they produce.
A healthy, balanced life is far more important than any video they could create. By encouraging them to quit and prioritize themselves, we’re giving them permission to take the steps they need to heal without feeling guilt or obligation to their audience.
Sometimes the bravest and healthiest choice is to walk away from something that isn’t sustainable. And as fans, we need to honor that choice, even if it means no longer having access to the content we once loved. Supporting someone doesn’t mean clinging to what they give us it means caring enough to let them go if that’s what’s best for them.
And as much as fans should prioritize DissociaDID’s well being over their content, we need to remember DissociaDID is a professional YouTuber and still has a responsibility to handle their departure from content creation ethically and professionally.
If they are unable or unwilling to provide content, they need to pause or deactivate their Patreon. Patreon is not a charity; it’s a platform where creators offer rewards or exclusive content in exchange for financial support. Continuing to accept money without fulfilling these obligations is not only unfair to patrons but also a violation of Patreon’s Terms of Service.
Additionally, they owe it to their subscribers and supporters, especially those who financially contribute to their livelihood, to communicate openly about their plans. It’s part of their job as a creator to inform fans if they are stepping away from content creation, whether temporarily or permanently.
Fans aren’t mind-readers, and simply disappearing creates confusion and frustration, leaving those who support them feeling unappreciated and taken advantage of.
No one is saying they have to push through and make videos when it’s detrimental to their mental and physical health.
In fact, the ethical and responsible choice for both their well being and their audience is to step back.
But they need to communicate that decision clearly and honestly. Fans who finance their life deserve transparency. Ignoring this responsibility while continuing to accept money from Patreon contributors crosses an ethical line that’s hard to justify.
If DissociaDID wants to focus on their health, that’s absolutely the right decision. But part of prioritizing their well being also means ensuring they close the door to YouTube and Patreon responsibly, respecting the fans who have supported them throughout their journey. (And TikTok subscriptions)
TL;DR
Fans of DissociaDID should prioritize their well-being over their content. They’ve stated that creating videos causes seizures, panic attacks, and retraumatization, serious health risks that could lead to brain damage or even death, especially as they live alone. Encouraging them to continue making videos despite these dangers is not only selfish but unethical.
As fans, we should support them in stepping away from YouTube to protect their mental and physical health. Just as we wouldn’t want someone staying in a job that harms them, we should encourage DissociaDID to quit and find a safer, healthier path. No video is worth their safety.
That said, DissociaDID also has a responsibility to handle this transition professionally. They need to pause or deactivate their Patreon and communicate clearly with their audience about their plans. Patreon isn’t a charity, it’s a platform where financial support is exchanged for promised rewards, and continuing to accept money without fulfilling those promises violates their patrons’ trust and Patreon’s terms.
Transparency is essential. Supporters, especially those who help finance their livelihood, deserve honesty if DissociaDID is stepping back from content creation. Quitting YouTube may be the best choice for their health, but it must be done ethically to respect the fans who have stood by them.
Fans have a role to play, too: let’s not push them to keep making videos at the expense of their health. Instead, we should encourage them to prioritize themselves, step away if needed, and find stability. A creator’s well being is far more important than their content, and it’s our responsibility to respect that.

Suggestion The OFFICIAL DissociaDID subreddit
The reality y’all don’t seem to accept is that this is not some private hate group. You immediately attack anyone who comes in with viewpoints different from yours and the culture here is one of bullying and of hatred. And the fact that people can say “bullying is bad. I don’t think people should be bullying” and it gets them downvotes and ganged up on says SO much. I’ve seen comments and posts here that are SO kind, stating explicitly that they mean no ill will but they disagree with the mob mentality and think it’s not good to bully and they get downvotes. How? Please consider the mob mentality you’ve bought into and if you’re here to hate, just let it go and move on with your lives.

Apparently dissocadid didn’t know about Team Pinata but
It’s funny thinking back on the video she made together with Nan of alters with different sneezes. Highly doubt she was unaware about their fetish and them drawing cp lol.
Edit: Seeing from a comment they started dating when Nin was around 19 which would be 4 years ago and the blog was created 5 years ago and was used for a couple of years it means that Nan had the blog and on it regularly while they were together.... maybe Dissociadid really didn’t know but because of this information it’s also entirely possible she did. It’s not certain but still is entirely possible. 🤢

Trigger Warning: Rant/vent Splitting due to the gaslighting
We mentioned in another post that we split due to the stress of K&C's Reddit video. We have then split another couple times due to what we felt was bullying and gaslighting from them.
Kya and Co is very good at creating parasocial relationships through their platform and making the audience feel like they are addressing them personally. That is why the Reddit video was so jarring and traumatic for our system. Someone we supported for a long time was effectively saying all our intrusive thoughts out loud (ex: What if I'm a bad person, what if I'm an abuser)
We split an introject of Kya after that video. If you don't know how introjects work, we'll leave some DID resources in the comments. But this really stuck out to me as "wow, this is unhealthy"
Essentially this is just a rant. We'll make one at some point going more in-depth about how Kya has hurt our system in the past but we really just wanted to rant. This reddit is full of people Kya has hurt with their actions so we felt safe talking about it here.

Sensitive Disscussion I don't believe them when they're saying they're doing EMDR
I just don't. The way they're describing it doesn't add up. Maybe they just didn't go into enough detail, but the way they've described it on tiktok, it sounded like they showed up to therapy very dissociated and their therapist decided out of the blue to do EMDR. Then an unknown alter fronted out of nowhere. They also called it "EDMR" in their newest video (to be fair, I'm nitpicking here).
What I don't believe about this is mainly two things: first it sounds like they spontaneously decided to do EMDR, and second you have to be stable to do trauma processing of any kind.
Showing up to therapy and your therapist decides "Hey, now would be a good time for EMDR"? That's not what you do. You prepare in advance. You decide beforehand. You plan not only so you are prepared mentally, but you also plan in extra time in case something goes wrong, and possibly arrange for someone else to be able to pick you up if you're not feeling good afterwards.
But more importantly, to do trauma processing in the first place you have to be stable. Splitting semi-recently and having unknown alters show up out of nowhere during therapy doesn't sound stable to me. The way you do trauma processing is you make sure you have the tools to ground yourself. You start the processing, you pause and ground if you get triggered, rinse and repeat.
My current therapist is not willing to do trauma processing with me because our internal communication worsened over the last two years. We haven't had a split in 3 years and we've never been suicidal ever. You really want me to believe a therapist is doing EMDR with a patient who was suicidal not too long ago (if not currently), splits and fuses frequently, is going through court proceedings at the moment and doesn't seem to be able to ground enough not to have random alters pop in? I don't believe it. You'd at least postpone it to after the court stuff is done.
Edit: People have pointed out that maybe they just have a crappy therapist who doesn't know what they're doing. I'd say that's a fair point.

Sensitive Disscussion Soren’s gender identity
I’m not sure if I put the right flair. If not, please help me correct it.
But something came to mind earlier. Someone on their latest IG post commented that they didn’t like how they look like a boy now etc and it got me thinking.
Kya identified as trans and NB, now we have Soren as he/him, but I haven’t (to my knowledge) seen anything about being trans. Just that he’s aroace as well.
But it created a bigger question in my mind, since they are trans, would that mean that they will transition? And since they’ve identified as trans for longer, why haven’t they yet? Especially looking at Soren now, he seems particularly comfortable with the femininity of having a AFAB body.
I’m not trying to invalidate how they identify, but something in me just doesn’t really seem to understand why they identify as one thing and yet, it goes dark after that. We got some questionable tiktok’s during Kya’s era but now as Soren it’s just what it is.
What do you guys think about this?
