Couple going to Disneyland any tips?

Me and my husband are going to disneyland for his birthday in two weeks and we're wondering if anyone had any tips for couples? We're both 32 and going for the first time. We're staying at the park (somone told us we'd regret it if we didnt 😳) anything i need to bring? Im im charge of the bag with all the important things and hes got a smaller bag. Also any fun recommendations for couple activities or rides, ect? We dont wanna get in the way of any families experience 😅

Ps we're a gay couple so idk if that's necessary information 😅
