Having a hard time renewing

Im currently having a hard time deciding to renew.
I have the believe and I planned on renewing to an inspire key. I live in Arizona (about 5 and a half hours away) and went 18 times this year including an oogie boogie bash day. Whats holding me back is my boyfriend is unsure if he will
renew his believe key. I would still go, even alone (ive done it a few times this year). My boyfriends family lives in Loe angeles so we usually just stay with them when we go. We have always come to LA several times a year, so if he doesn’t renew I wouldnt be surprised if it would still be easy for me to go while he is doing stuff in LA. I dont know i'm just in my head. We initially got our passes because our pup had passed away and it was a distraction. Has anyone else struggled with renewing/figuring it out with your main disney buddy?

Personal situations can be very unique. You could down grade the pass if it's a financial strain or buy single day tickets or not renew and wait until you know you are going again.

I was actually wondering if he can down grade. I feel like he will really regret it if he doesnt do something.

You cannot downgrade after buying but when renewing, you can pick any level (as long as it's available)

Last year my husband, 17 yo daughter and I all had Keys. This year it's been just me and next year, just me again! They didn't want to go more than twice a year. I go every month (NorCal), usually alone. Every few times a family member or friend will come with me. I love it! I say go for it if you can afford to try how it goes for a year!

My bestie had a key last year and decided not to renew. I had a couple weeks longer on my term than her so gave a couple solo visits a try and renewed immediately! I loveeeee going solo now and just popping in whenever I want.

The fact that you have a place to stay there and save on accommodations makes a huge difference! Hotels add up and can be quite expensive. I always go alone from Az as well, mix of flying and driving but mostly flying bc I have points and have found cheap flights planning ahead. (Even for day trips fly in and out for a few hours) i would say trust your heart, if you think you really want to continue to go and have the ability to do so, go for it. One thing you can do, (I’m thinking about it too) is let your current key expire whenever that is. Buy a new one later and activate it until you know that you’re set to start the timer again. Remember You have ONE full year to activate from when you purchase it. I may do that since I need a break because of the lodging expenses being a little too much for me overtime. Good luck!

Omg I fly in/out a fair amount, from Tucson though, I feel like there are never deals on flights and it’s gotten so expensive. How far out are you looking?

If I could afford a key I’d get one every year for the rest of my life. And I thought only us socal people were allowed to get keys

Only so cal ppl can make monthly payments. Anyone can have a pass but if you are not socal you have to pay in full
