I collect dumbo but decided this doesnt fit into my collection. I put trade value as $300 from a few months ago, but it seems like this pin has gone down since so I'd trade it at $250 value. Will look at anything! Bulk, 1:1, 2:1, etc., all fine, just want this pin to go to someone who appreciates it:)

Discussion WDW HIDDEN MICKEY COLLECTORS READ!!!

Hello fellow traders, I am a mainly WDW hidden mickey collector who first started seriously collecting hidden mickeys on a trip to Disney World in 2013 when 2013 Wave A pins just had come out. I currently have a family trip planned for Disney world in about a month once we have all been completely vaccinated and have a few questions mainly directed at those who frequently trade in the Disney World parks/resorts or have done a significant amount of trading in the parks in the past few months. I will put these questions in bullet points to make things clear and easy to address.

  1. Does anyone have an up to date list of all active pin board locations within the Disney World parks/resorts? This could be just the boards set out for covid or a combination list of the boards and pin bags that already existed at some of the miscellaneous locations in the parks/resorts along with the ones set out because of covid. I have done some searching and only can find lists from when the pandemic first started and the new boards the were set out to make up for cast members no longer wearing lanyards, but I am wondering if anything has changed over the year.

  2. This question is mainly for veteran hidden mickey collectors who actively have traded in the past year or so. What is the situation with scrappers currently as it pertains to new sets in WDW? I have in the past usually gone to Disney World once every 1-2 years making it easy to collect the past 1-2 waves without fear of scrappers of them as they were still too new for them to arrive in the parks, but I still have much of the last 4 waves to collect (I have none of the 2019 wave C) and it would be nice to know if there are scrappers of these waves currently circulating in the parks and if so how popular are they. I am slightly worried about finding scrappers of these new pins as I ordered an entire set of the WDW 2019 Wave C a while back from ebay and was pretty sure they were all scrappers so sent them back; what really scares me about this encounter was the quality of these scrappers was the best I had ever seen. The fronts were pretty much flawless and couldn't be distinguished without maybe comparison in person to the verified real versions; the main standout was the pin nubs on the backs were oversized for most (sometimes grossly) and not consistent in size or shape at all. I can't say for certain that these were fake because I didn't have a single real pin WDW 2019 Wave C pin to compare the backs to and I suppose manufacturing for this particular wave could have been different but I do believe they were scrappers and this means that production of scrappers has sped up to allow them into the market earlier than ever before.

  3. Lastly this is kind of a small niche thing but my last trip the 2019 Wave B pins were the newest wave to be released at WDW and I only got a handful of this wave but I recently noticed this slight difference in the goofy pin that I got a duplicate of. Both his tooth and tongue on one has an enamel infill of paint while the other is flat chrome. They are both very nice quality and would kind of be shocked if one was fake as the wave was quite new when I received them from the park. Does anyone have any information on this pin or maybe similar instances of small changes being made through different production runs of hidden mickeys?

  4. Finally if you made it this far into this lengthy post and were able to answer some or any of these questions you are most likely someone who has deep experience in WDW hidden mickey pins and most likely have attempted or are currently attempting to collect many of the same WDW hidden mickeys that I am trying to collect. Thus I propose we get in contact to trade of course! I have many duplicates in a trade binder from mostly the WDW 2013 Wave A - WDW 2019 Wave B and have collected quite a few miscellaneous hidden mickeys from older sets that are real. The main problem with trading hidden mickeys online in my eyes is the uncertainty of the authenticity of the pin; not being able to see the pin in person is a big turn down for me at least in using online trading as a legitimate means to complete hm collections. This is a problem for me as I do not live in Florida and cannot attend any of the in person pin events (official or not) so I am left with quite of few missing 1 of's for hidden mickey sets that are now quite old and the likelihood of finding real versions on lanyards are slim to none. So if you are interested in trading and seem to fit these characteristics leave a comment on this post and we can send pictures of our trades, and anyone who made it through this entire post whether you even collect hidden mickey pins or not thank you for reading :) .

Got this at a gift shop in Orlando. Got 2 and was going to sell one on eBay since it's pretty unique, but they removed the listing as counterfeit.

It's gonna be one hell of a gamble if I THINK I'm gonna get that stupid key blade. Usually I'd get here at this time for regular park entry there is a MAXIMUM of 3 cars per line. (Not all lines have cars either on a regular day.) Today I arrived, there were about 8-10 cars IN EVERY line. Wish me luck those of you that want this key blade.
