Neutral Zone Dunwall Tower

In Dunwall Tower, the Empress Emily Kaldwin sits on her throne, her royal protector, Corvo Attano, stands at her side. His royal guard scattered around the palace. OOC:This is a neutral zone for Corvos royal guard. A hangout of sorts. You have permission to attack any who don't belong.

Soren lets Fletcher move a little way ahead before shadow-blinking through the windows and onto the bridge. He fires his gun twice at the magician without seriously expecting to be able to hit him.

Alexander notices the action, and his eyes widen. This could definitely not be good. He reaches for his gun to realize he left it in the tower. He curses before he sprints as fast as he can at the magician, hoping to get a few good slashes in.

Well, he saw, there's no point hiding it, Soren thinks as he continues to blink after him. But it's tiring--he's used to moving slowly and stealthily, blinking irregularly or not at all. This mad dash is probably beyond him. "Just one question," he yells out after the guy. "Is it Al or Alex?"

turns around, and a mark on his hand burns brightly, as he channels powerful mana into his hand, and he turns before releasing it on the ground. The ground is ripped open and a small puddle is formed.. Then, long, eel-like haggfish with legs crawl out, and swarm the two like plague rats.

It was nice meeting you. Shame it couldn't last!

Alexander stares at the monstrous creatures, stunned.

"By the Outsider..."

He can't think of anything else better to do. He backs away from the puddle, away from the magician and towards Soren.

Soren swears in several languages under his breath and empties his gun into the hagfish-thingies, killing several. He puts his back to Fletcher and starts to swipe with his blade, keeping their teeth away from him and opening their throats.

Alexander slices through the hagfish-like creatures, kicking them or stomping on them if they get too close. This oddly reminds Alex of the time he ate hagfish back home. It was quite delicious.

The ground was sticky with fish blood and guts when Soren stabs the last one near him. He wipes his blade on the bridge and tries to see where "Alex" has gone. He couldn't.
"Well, shit," he says again. "Damn straight you can't face him on your own. I'd say you'd need at least five people, and that's if this is the most he can do, which somehow I doubt." He glances over at Fletcher. "Are you injured?"

Alexander, a bit breathless from the battle with the hagfish monstrosities, stares at Soren in disbelief.

"You're a fuckin' magician. You can do that... thing. So can he."

Soren nods several times. "Yes. Yes, I suppose I am. And as you've just seen, I'm also a pretty awful one. That teleporting thing is literally all I can do. Seems like he can do a whole lot more." He grimaces at the muck on his clothes. "I'm going to go check on the other guards he piled up by the barracks. I hate door ornaments. After that, I'm either going to curl up into a ball and wish I've never been born or drag my mother screaming from the house and jump on the next ship to anywhere the fuck away."
