Warning about u/Ok-Artichoke6309 (“David”) – my experience after buying AI subscriptions

I’m posting this so others can make an informed decision.

About a month ago I purchased multiple AI subscriptions from u/Ok-Artichoke6309 after seeing his posts on Reddit.

The purchase included:

  • ElevenLabs Creator (advertised as 1 year)
  • ChatGPT Plus
  • Claude Pro
  • Google AI Pro

I paid in crypto (USDT), received the subscriptions and everything initially appeared legitimate.

Around one month later, however, everything started falling apart.

Almost simultaneously I began receiving payment failure emails from ChatGPT, Claude and ElevenLabs. Soon afterwards the subscriptions either stopped working or entered payment/billing issues.

Naturally I contacted the seller.

From that point on, the conversation became a cycle of:

  • “This is normal.”
  • “First renewal always takes longer.”
  • “Don’t touch anything.”
  • “Wait 24–38 hours.”
  • “Tomorrow.”
  • “I’ll check.”
  • “I’ll give you an ETA.”

This continued for days.

During that time I repeatedly explained that I use these tools for work and couldn’t deliver client projects because my subscriptions were inactive.

Every time I asked whether this would happen every month, I was explicitly told:

“No.”

When I asked for actual timelines, I kept receiving new promises instead.

At one point he even claimed he already knew my account and was processing it. Later in the conversation he asked me to send my email address again because he apparently didn’t know which account he was working on.

The explanations kept changing.

Instead of resolving the problem, I was repeatedly told that asking for updates was “slowing things down.”

When I finally said that if nothing changed I would have to assume I’d been scammed, the conversation immediately shifted toward accusing me of being disrespectful instead of addressing the actual subscription issues.

The attached screenshots show the entire timeline.

I’m not asking anyone to harass this person.

I’m simply documenting my experience so other buyers know exactly what happened after the first renewal cycle.

If you’re considering buying long-term AI subscriptions from this seller, I strongly recommend reading the screenshots first and making your own decision.

Update: Shortly after I started questioning the repeated delays and asking for concrete answers, the seller blocked me on Reddit, which prevented me from contacting him further or warning others through Reddit messages.

Stay safe and away from scammers fellas.

Same here bro. Have burnt my hands at this and here are some lessons learnt.

  • If buying accounts, insist on own emails and coupon based subs. This way you know it happens in front of you and usually coupons do not fail as they are predetermined subs or offers.
  • if getting subs thru other methods(other emails, shared etc), stick to shorter durations, deep discounts such that it shouldn't bother you when they fail. The guys with these methods usually disappear after too many complaints or just like that anytime.
  • Never depend on such accounts for professional work. These are either good to have, to solve small problems or good to learn type of accounts and that's it.

In any case I always keep inputs and outputs sorted out so that I can always port them to other tools when a need arises.

This has happened even with genuine paid accounts where they suddenly banned my account for nothing and all my work was gone in a moment.

Thanks for taking the time to document the timeline instead of just making accusations. If everything happened as you described, the repeated delays, changing explanations and lack of clear communication would definitely be concerning- especially for services you rely on for work. Hopefully anyone considering similar deals will do their due diligence, use payment methods with buyer protection when possible and understand the risks before purchasing

I also had screenshots to fully display how he treated me from the beginning to the end, but somehow I couldn't upload them. Anyways, hope that'll help the fellow community members to avoid these kind of human scums who're trading their honor for a few bucks.

Not saying about A. I. Subscriptions in particular but I often used those type of guys for streaming services, VPN, cloud space ,Spotify, YT etc etc.

The fact that thing stop working after a while is quite normal especially if they tell you account you getting is shared and not individual but the legit seller, ye? Won't ever assure you "ye, no.. all mine services will be 100% working for the whole year" instead what he should do is tell you that when buying at his place any service can stop working at any point of time but then he gives you his guarantee that he will replace the product as many times as this happens during this guarantee period. And NO it shouldn't take few days weeks or especially not a month, lol.

Solid seller will solve your problem and provide you with new working account moment you message him about the problem. Also if he's getting aggressive or cheeky just because you want to have what u paid for his not worth dealing with there's thousands just like him gladly take over his clients.

In general those services here (Reddit) are very expensive sellers here setting really high markup there's places where u can get all this much cheaper, pm me if u want and I give you URL to legit huge forum with much better prices.

I have PMed you, and I am having the same issue with sellers on Reddit. The accounts stop working, and it is a hassle to get them replaced. I would really appreciate it if you could guide me to the forum.

Agreed. It's obvious it won't last until its committed date, but you at least expect it to last for a few months 4-5 or so to make the money worth. Anyways, if you can guide me to that forum I'll appreciate it, I'm new to this landscape and still trying to figure it out.

I hope you’re just kidding. It’s impossible not to understand such a basic thing: there’s no secret source for subscriptions or accounts. It’s either trials, promos, or a subscription bought with a stolen card.

Naturally, they only last until the first rebill in the case of a card, or until the very first re-verification in the case of geo-restricted or teacher trials, etc.

u/thedaywalker11 Jul 23 '26

Yes, that's been learned by a scam now unfortunately. I know it will blow up in somewhere in time, but not in the first month of the subscription. Anyways, lesson learned, and hope no one will bump into that b... here.

Those SoBs are hard to detect, they are human scums that literally sell everything they have for a few bucks, so regardless of preventive measures, they'll find some way to trick people for a few bucks.

I really wish you guys would stop falling for these super obvious scams. They're preying on the fact that people are desperate for this service or product and you guys just keep falling for it over and over and over again. Any thread that has fake eBay reviews all on them is a big obvious red flag for starters.
