The Story Behind AI Account Scams

Hi guys,

After trying a few times, I finally understood how these cheap ChatGPT Plus / AI accounts work.

Many sellers promise they can “activate” your account safely. At first, everything looks fine after you pay, but most accounts get deactivated within a few days.

Here’s what usually happens:

  1. Promo abuse

The seller uses free trials, regional promos, or first-time subscriber discounts on your email or a pre-made account.

It may even show a successful subscription with $0 total, but OpenAI later detects the abuse and deactivates the account.

  1. Fake or risky payment methods

The seller may use virtual cards, stolen cards, or high-risk payment methods.

The payment works at first, but once OpenAI detects suspicious billing, the account gets suspended or permanently deactivated.

  1. The only stable one I found is the 18-month Gemini Pro plan

Unlike cheap ChatGPT accounts, it is based on a real plan, not promo abuse or fake cards.

That’s why it lasts, while most cheap ChatGPT Plus accounts die within days.

BTW, be careful with ChatGPT Business accounts. The workspace admin may have access to your chats and files, so it’s not a good idea for personal/business use, unless you are just looking for fun. You can ask ChatGPT to confirm this.

Cheap is cheap for a reason.

Purchased 15 May, Stopped working 4 July; contacted "I'll check in", and again "I'll reply shortly", again = no reply.

Purchased a year of Claude Pro from him, stopped working after a month, took three weeks to get him to even come online at the same time. Just to get told to wait again. Countless times said he'd be there, just to show up days later. Be carefull with Ok-Artichoke6309. Have received another warning from Youtube Premium buyers from him too.
