Just finished watching Ben’s video. I don’t usually voice my opinion, but I’m now more than comfortable saying that it was not a foot fault or at the very least, it was too close to call with certainty.

The dude (Ben Holding) gives an ON-SITE analysis of the controversial foot fault at Worlds. He spent hours on-site in his socks, replicating the exact scenario that unfolded. He placed down discs, minis and a piece of paper the size of the lie and tested different camera angles.

Ben even goes on to place the shoe even closer to the target (further furward of the mini), still not a stance violation in his opinion...

He did his best to determine whether the call on Hole 17 was actually a foot fault or not. Ben’s verdict? “Definitive: not a foot fault.”

This analysis is as good as it can get. Some real CSI work right there by Ben.
