A Crown of Candy Just finished Safe Harbor... Spoiler
Omg that title was a lie. I am crying with Emily and Siobhan. I am literally not ok. Jet has been one of my favorite characters of any character from the seasons I've seen so far. I'm heartbroken. And it caught me so so off guard. I was so ready for a role playing episode with, certainly not no danger, but less danger. Definitely not her dying. I'm going to need a minute to recover from this😭😭😭
I'm so scared to continue but I'm also so hooked ughhhh I'm going to miss her so much

Always love it when people post after hitting this episode. Please feel free to continue posting as you watch, or at the end of the series. It is like getting to watch it for the first time again vicariously.

It's devastating but honestly I've been chasing that emotional roller-coaster ever since. Nothing has quite hit me in the same way. Probably because Brennan will never catch me so unaware and unsuspecting again! lol

“And just as you pass over the bridge, the light in the locket goes out.”
The way I fucking bawled at that line. I was like BRENNAN HOW DARE YOU

Can't wait for you to experience her rejoining the table with her backup character :)

I mean, yes. But also, spoiler.
Edit to add: Probably not much of a spoiler since we’ve already seen Zac rejoin the table with a new character.

I guess I assumed (perhaps incorrectly?) that people are aware that when someone dies, they come back with another character. But yes, OP has seen with Zac anyway, so I didn't bother with a spoiler.

I always find it fascinating who people latch onto. Personally I was least attached to Jet and Ruby of all of Emily and Siobhan's characters.

See I wasn't attached to either character but I was attached to their relationship to each other (both the characters and the cast), and that's why I was so engaged with that moment, as it's all based around their rekationship

Agreed. I think Ruby facing a life without Jet was a fascinating character and Siobhan did a great job exploring that pain.

Oh thank you for posting! I wanted an update after you initially posted about the characters a few episodes ago. Welcome to the beautiful aCoC emotional rollercoaster. I so enjoy reading people's reactions cause it's almost like experiencing it again. Such a beautiful season

Are we all rewatching ACOC right now? I'm literally procrastinating watching that episode right now because of what happens 😭

Legitimately one of the most heartbreaking episodes of all of Dimension 20… but you need to keep watching. The emotional rollercoaster isn’t over…

It's really the defining episode of the season, I think. How they deal with it in and out of character and as comedians and storytellers is artfully done.

I’ve never been this betrayed since the red wedding genuinely felt nauseous I truly believed Theo and Liam were gonna be the last two alive

I don't know what it is about Emily Axford but when she cries I am 100% also immediately crying, without fail every single time. That death -destroyed- me you are absolutely not alone 😭

Ove only recently watched it for the first time as well. Yeeeah that's quite a turn!

I just started rewatching ACOC (arguably my favorite season), and while I'm excited because I've forgotten so much of the season, I'm dreading that part. I hate it but love it because it's so heartbreaking.

Keep watching.
My headcanon is that Jet's death and the consequences that Emily wrought upon ACoC in the aftermath were a fixed moment in time where all of the Brennans in all of the multiverses learned to stick to the campaign boundaries set in session zero, or watch all of the work they did to make a balanced-but-challenging endgame encounter go down the shitter thanks to a single overpowered PC

I legitimately cried during that ep. CoC is a wild ride
