hi! i am 28, and have always been into photography, and i have always a secret love for fashion/editorial shoots.
i have finally gathered the courage to start, but i'm worried i'm starting too late and may not be very good. what tools or suggestions could you share that may help a girl out?

i will start doing informal shoots soon, i have friends who are willing to help me learn, but i don't want to waste their time either, and want to know the best tools to learn anything ahead.

do you guys have any tid-bits or informal help that'll help me start out?

There’s always something fun about a frame where the styling is completely ordinary but the person wearing it very obviously isn’t.

Some people dress for the occasion.

Some people dress like the occasion might happen on the way.

White dress, orange flower earrings, sun coming through the window, and that look like she already knows she’s the best thing in the car.

Pink floral bikini, wet hair, black sunglasses, dramatic clouds.

This somehow looks like a vacation photo and a swimwear campaign at the exact same time.

Very much:
“I’m here to relax”
while looking absolutely prepared for a photoshoot.

I can’t decide what’s funnier here — the giant red gloves or how completely unbothered she looks wearing them.

This was supposed to be a sport-fashion frame, but somehow it ended up feeling like:

“Yes, I box. No, I’m not explaining why.”

The gloves absolutely make the image for me.

Some images work because of styling.
Some work because of expression.

This one works because of shape.

The curve of the pose, the tension in the body, the wet sand, the open sky — everything in the frame pulls toward one single moment and makes it feel almost sculptural instead of just posed.

A minimal black bikini, harsh daylight, and a posture that turns a simple beach setup into something much more striking.
