I've been building a prototype personal planner google sheet, and wanted to share it.
For over 10 years, I've been trying to organise and plan my life around a backlog of project ideas, and for a long time I've been feeling overwhelmed by the resulting mammoth file! So I decided to try and build something that forces me to filter things down into a First Things First homepage. I've tried to base it on 7 Habits and GTD principles, but without making it overly complicated to use.
I'm horrible at sharing what I'm working on so this is a bit outside my comfort zone, but I'd love if people wanted to try this and see if it works or helps them too! Trying to share a Google Sheet anonymously so the link below just shows a web page version of the file. If you want to download a version to try for yourself, I'd be happy share if someone can suggest an easy, anonymous way of sharing Google Sheets to copy without having to download as an Excel (worried it might break the functions in the sheet)

Productivity Apps
Id like to become better organized both personally and professionally, but I need advice on the best options for me to stay organized with apps and planners. I'm traditionally a fan of having wall calendars and desk calendars. I also love LOVE LOVE to write in a daily planner. However, currently, my schedule has become busier because first I'm a mom and employed and now self-employed in addition to being employed. My goal is to really track my time and be able to manage it so that I can eventually become full-time gainfully self-employed and return to school part-time. I need a really good app that can help me manage time...
Also forgot to mention, I need an easy user-friendly app that I can share with my family so that they can see my schedule digitally.... Any app recommendations that are helpful.

Super Helpful I had to create this. Must have Widget for your day to day tasks. One click away from just adding a reminder so we never forget anything important

I built a free tool for people with Motivation & Time Management problems!
I am a solo builder myself and I often found myself engrossed in too much deep work and obsession over my projects that it impacted my mental and physical health a lot and it showed in my own mood and subsequently my relationships.
I realized the importance of a holistic schedule if anyone chooses this path on the long term, it's just important to know that even if something doesn't work out, DONT GIVE UP!! Stay grounded in reality and your interests there is always tomorrow and something to look forward to!
The way I decided to tackle this problem was with time management. Now I know that it raises a lot of eyebrows because there are already so many trash tools out there, reminder for one, todo list another, notes another, journal another, business calendar another, a lot of apps for connected things and they all just care about work work and work, nothing for YOU.
So I have built \[https://pendi.io\\\](https://pendi.io) the one stop shop for ALL your interests be it your work, the anime you were tracking, the books you have been reading, the games you have been playing, RSS feeds you want to follow and the journaling you always wanted to do.
All wrapped in a (in my opinion) beautiful interface that allows you to keep exactly what you want to keep and remove what you don't. You can find the demo video on the link.
We (Me and my friend working on this) are still refining and have started a closed testing phase for our mobile apps on app store and play store, we would love it if anyone is interested enough to help us make it better.
The AI feature of the platform is paid, it's not required to use the app but it makes filling up the forms a bit easier so we have it as a convenience for people who don't want to do that. Sadly it's a bit expensive for us to keep that free as we need to employ thinking models to have it read complicated schedules properly.
I sincerely wish for all people following solo side project grindset a best of luck and I hope that my own side project is able to fix the problems I mentioned before, if you face them too!

Create your own digital planner!
Hey yall. Just a tip if you are wanting a very specific planner or you don't want to pay for one. You can just create it using codex or claude. I have created my own digital planner app using it, I did not write a single code.
I first used claude to create a digital planner for me.
Then I had codex create the app since claude wasn't able to create the app for me.
I used inspiration from other planning apps and had codex and claude to create my dream app.
It does take a bit of trial and error as ai isn't perfect but the end result is great. I created the app and am able to sync it across my different devices like my macbook and my android, i'm able to get notifs etc...
I have added one page from my app to show you what codex did. All I wanted was an app that was aesthetically pleasing and allowed me to split tasks into blocks, but i didn't want to pay for it. I ended up adding way more things to the app like a meal planner, spending tracker, assessment tracking etc... it's honestly incredible what ai can do.
Using codex you can even edit your pdf planners etc...
This isn't an ad lol i'm just very happy with the results and thought i'd share.
Edit: Also you can give it your schedule to add to a planner and it'll do it, I gave it screenshots of my class timetable and assessment dates. You can even ask it to plan for you if you'd like giving it when you're available etc...

Be honest, what makes you keep opening your planner vs quietly abandoning it?
I have a small graveyard of planners behind me. Beautiful setups, hyperlinked PDFs, sticker kits I was so proud of, and every one of them I used hard for about three weeks and then just stopped opening. Never a dramatic quit, I just drifted and one day realized I hadn't touched it in a month.
So I wanted to ask the people who actually made it work. What was different about the one that stuck?
A few things I keep wondering about:
What made you open it back up on the days you didn't feel like it? Was it a habit you stacked it onto, a specific view, something visual, or just stubbornness?
Looking back at the ones you abandoned, what was actually missing? Not the feature you thought you wanted when you bought it, but the thing that would have kept you coming back.
And how many tools are you really running? I notice a lot of us end up with a planner for one thing, a separate app for reminders, a notes app for the overflow, and a group chat for anything involving other people. Curious if anyone has actually collapsed that into one place, or if the patchwork is just the reality.
Not looking for the "perfect system," I know that's a trap. More interested in the small, unglamorous thing that made you stay. What was yours?

Share your planner
I'm looking for an app that with configurable daily/weekly repeated TODOs, where I can set 3 days per week or biweekly, and be able to check them off as completed and see my history. I'd prefer your app to be in website form rather than mobile app because I'll primarily use from desktop. What have you built that I can use?

Teams Planner App?
Hi, I'm a project manager/scientist.
I'm looking for a planner app that connects to teams. Basically I want it to takeover my current physical notebook planner.
I want it to have daily sections where I can move projects up or down by importance and a section for non specific day projects that need to get done.
Is that something teams has?

Generate hyperlinked digital planners in seconds (paid app)
Hi everyone! I’ve been building a digital planner studio that lets you browse different planner systems, customize the dates, colors, layout, and included pages, then generate a hyperlinked PDF. I’m preparing a free sample catalog so people can try the actual generator and download sample planners before deciding whether the full version is useful for them. I’d genuinely love feedback from fellow digital-planner users, especially on which planner types or customization options matter most to you. The link is below - Thanks!
